Thanks, Blaxx. That one feels a bit too relaxed for what I'm going for. I want high energy. The Broadway equivalent of The Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited" but even more juiced up than that. Is that nuts? Probably.
BTW, an exuberant dance performance from a musical (even if there isn't any singing) would work for this as well.

We were posting at the same time. I was referring to your prior suggestion, Put on a Happy Face. Yes, Everybody Rejoice is a good idea. Thanks!!
More suggestions, please, folks!

Some people are not fans, but Hamlisch wrote Jump for Joy from The Goodbye Girl.
I'm sure others can think of more obvious choices.

What about We'll Take a Glass Together from Grand Hotel? Or, for a solo singer, She Loves Me from She Loves Me?
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Some of these might be too romantic for your goal, but some might be just what you want.
"Tonight at Eight" and "She Loves Me" from SHE LOVES ME
"I'm a Brass Band" from SWEET CHARITY
"You Can't Stop the Beat" from HAIRSPRAY
"Two People in Love" from BABY
"A Lovely Night" from CINDERELLA (R&H)
"They're Playing My Song" from THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

Definitely "She loves Me" from SHE LOVES ME.
Maybe "Sing Happy" from FLORA THE RED MENACE. It starts slow, but picks up fast.

If you're willing to stray from Broadway a bit, Pharrell Williams "Happy" from Despicable Me 2 is a pretty easy choice for a happy song.

Don't leave out "Happy Talk" from South Pacific.
And does it have to be Broadway or would Ella do?
Ella Fitzgerald 'Happy Blues'

There is almost nothing as happy as 62-year-old Ruby Keeler singing and tap-dancing to "I Want to Be Happy" in No, No, Nanette:

Almost Like Being in Love from Brigadoon
The Night They Invented Champagne from Gigi (it was in the Broadway version as well as the movie, right?)
I Could Have Danced All Night from My Fair Lady
(I think L&L are really good with the happy songs.
)
Best wishes to your teacher!

Speaking of NO NO NANETTE, what about "Peach On The Beach?" It's very perky and lively, though not strictly about being happy.

Together ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY
She Loves Me SHE LOVES ME
Miracle of Miracles FIDDLER ON THE ROOF
Fireworks DO RE MI
She Likes Basketball PROMISES, PROMISES
Yes My Heart CARNIVAL
Sing Happy from FLORA is a great song but it is not about being excited/deliriously happy; it is about being heartbroken and wanting to get beyond it while having a nervous breakdown
