They also gave me via email, a "goodwill gesture" of $50 Jetblue bucks. After reading your post, I called again and was firm. They issued me an additional $225 Jetblue bucks. So thanks for your input. Telecharge gave me a refund for my two shows today. I'm in the process, hopefully of a Ticketmaster refund for Angels Part 1 and 2. Then I still have My Fair Lady and Iceman to deal with. I was looking at rescheduling a trip for mid June. The unfortunate thing is all the popular shows that I had tickets for are either sold out or went up tremendously in price. If Telecharge reshedules My Fair Lady and Iceman instead of a straight out refund, then I will reshedule."
Glad you were able to get a few more bucks out of it ArtMan. If in fact as i interpreted from your post, your actual flight went off on time, I'm pretty sure they can't use the weather excuse cause your flight was not affected. They made a business decision to bump you because of weather from the day before. Not your problem. I think if you reminded them you had a confirmed ticket for that flight, the flight went off on time and without delay and the only reason you were not on it is because of a subjective business decision they made to accommodate other passengers who did not have confirmed tickets on that flight ahead of you and started quoting them U.S. Department of Transportation rules about involuntary bumping and the compensation those rules specify, you could still get more, but that's up to you.
One thing I've learned over many years of air travel is in situations like this, to always remain polite and calm as you discuss this but to be incredibly persistent. In many situations, they are authorized to offer you a lot more than they will ever let on.
