Posted: 8/1/06 at 4:37pmWill this be released in the states as well? I would think so, considering it's had such success over here. And the poster looks cool.

'cept he's not the main character. He is the funniest, though

Posted: 8/1/06 at 4:39pmThe only problem I have with it is that it makes it look like a cheap comedy like Eurotrip and American Pie, instead of the Brilliant work that it is.

Posted: 8/1/06 at 4:45pmI like it and all, but hope it's not what they end up using as the final poster for the film. I think the photo of them all lined up along the wall is much more appropriate for the (I don't know?) tone of the show.

Does anyone know the "print screen" command like the PC has for Mac's?
It captures what's displayed on your screen right now... thanks

As of now it's opening in limited release on November 22 - opposite Darren Aronofsky's "The Fountain" (for one) starring Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz (Donna Murphy and Ellen Burstyn are also in this movie).

And I think it's opening, what, October 16th, in the UK? Something like that. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out!

That's what I was just thinking.

Posted: 8/1/06 at 5:12pmOh, this or "The Fountain"? I might have to see both. Gotta love me some Aronofsky.

Probably not, Fiction Writer, but I'd like to think that there might be some middle ground. I think this is fine for some sort of temporary/in between advertising, but I don't really think it'll be the final product. At least I hope it isn't. I think it's fun and everything, but there's something about it (appropriateness in representing the content of the film aside) that just doesn't really scream movie poster, you know?...Because I'm such an expert in advertising and movie posters!

Posted: 8/1/06 at 5:31pmFor some reason, the fact that the poster calls it a comedy doesn't really work for me. I thought the play was funny, don't get me wrong, but to me, movie comedies are very different from play comedies. This show has substance, a purpose. To call it a comedy takes away from what I took away from the show when I saw it...

Posted: 8/1/06 at 5:35pmIt's interesting how it's being advertised as a comedy. I wouldn't exactly call it that.

Can you use the word Dramady on a poster?

Posted: 8/1/06 at 5:49pmWhen did they shoot this movie and how long did it take? Two days? I'm not bashing it or anything but it seems like it didn't take very long to make. It's like, "Yay, we won the Tony. Let's go make the movie."

Awwww, how cute are they?!
The movie was in the works FAR before they won the Tony, I believe.

Yeah, I believe plans for the movie were put into motion after the NT run, which was in 2004. I agree with the precautions that everyone has with the poster but...
c'mon...
it's pretty damn cute!
