this re-review sums up the TRUTH about billie joe, his talent, dedication to the show HE created and it also serves as a reminder of what TRULY is an IMPORTANT, MEMORABLE and RESONATING 90 minutes on broadway....
LONG LIVE BILLIE and the IDIOTS !!!!!!
they are a WONDERFUL REMINDER of what BROADWAY and ART are supposed to be ABOUT !!!!!
NO. I thought you retired from this board!!!
This show wasn't as good as WOMEN ON THE VERGE, but it was ok.
Why do you type like a Tea Partier?
What makes a Times review "hot?"
Why so much hate on this board for this show???
Why so many question marks??????????????
I, too, appreciate Billie Joe Armstrong and his contributions to American Idiot, and I'm glad Isherwood was once again so positive about the show.
However, a post that seems like it should be accompanied by flashing lights is hardly something I'd fall over myself to agree with. Deep breath, OP.

i didn't have the budget for flashing lights... but, you are right, my post (and its contents) deserved them!!!

Never trust a troll, ljay.
Or feed one, either. .
What makes a Times review "hot?"
Maybe he obtained it illegally? Like the newspaper "fell off the back of a truck"?
I don't think there's hate on this board for this show. American Idiot is a great album and they made a great show from it. I'm glad it's still running, and I hope it lasts past February.
Off topic... who is that on your display pic, Jordan?

to answer the first question... regarding my retirement...
YES, i DID retire...
this is my COMEBACK thread! everybody LOOOOVES a COMEBACK!!!
the second question... what makes the review "hot" ?
READ IT. FEEL IT. you'll KNOW it!!
unless, of course, YOU are not HOT!
You have to miss something to "love a comeback".
This is more like a returning case of herpes.
Why so much hate on this board for this show???
Well it's a Green Day concert without Green Day. Well at least now they have 1/3 of Green Day.

i am happy to engage in healthy arguments.... although i have NEVER read ONE "healthy" argument on this site...
so, i will say it once --- anyone who has seen the show KNOWS it is NOT a rock concert... it is a FULLY WROUGHT broadway musical...
in NO way is it a concert... not in ANY way...
the original album was (and IS) a (grammy winning) rock opera... and now it is a STAGED ROCK OPERA !
i feel cleaner now !!!
p.s. if somebody (who has seen it)!!! can explain how they derive ROCK CONCERT from what is happening on the stage at st. james... feel free !!!!
you don't have to like it... but don't call it something it is NOT!
off to the gym....
I dont think its just a rock concert at all and if thats what people are saying then wow they are missing the point. To me its like an opera just with rock music. I found it very moving and it has great heart and energy, im glad it's still running

I love it when people say things like this because it's an easy way to tell that they haven't actually seen the show.
I have watched the entire show online and I personally found it to be just like a rock concert. I will admit that I don't like Green Day though.
I may very well have missed something by not seeing it live, but that was my impression of the show. If other people like it more and get more out of it than me that's perfectly fine.
Well if you've seen it online...by all means...please...... :-/
