SNAFU what part are you talking about maybe I can help you. I work there.
Dreamz, there is one point in the show, in the second act where Creel comes from the back of the Mezzanine and stands watching the action on stage. I only sat in the mezz once and I believe it is during a part of his trip. He seems to come from the back wall where the lighting booth is. A number of friends who have seen the show from up there seemed surprised. A real "How the heck did you get back there?" moment when they see him standing in the aisle next to them.
Is there a door back there or does he sneak his way against the side wall?

It was funny last night. I was wondering HOW they were going to play with people's hair when obviously most spent hours getting coiffed for the event. It makes sense they would go for the Producers and friends of the show!

If I had the choice of getting last row center orch or row b side mezz, which has more interaction? / and which has the better view?

Are you on the aisle for either of thoses seats?

Based on what you already said I would say mezz.

SNAFU, there is a door in the back of the mezz from the lighting booth. I was really surprised when it was opened and Gavin came out.
That is what I thought. It is a well concealed door! And it is in the First Act he does it, He watches his Dad say: "My son doesn't like me.... he doesn't like me!".

yay_gerb: How is the line for standing room generally? How early do you have to get to the box office?
For the past two times I've tried to do standing room there's been a grumpy box office guy who informs me that there is no standing room. I know this is because it isn't sold out, but I've had luck at Hair before for getting standing room even if it's not sold out.
How early should I get to the theater for a Saturday matinee for standing room? Taking some former students to see WSS the evening of the 18th and they want to see Hair for the matinee, so this might be the cheaper way for all of us...there are 7 of us so I don't think the lotto is an option

if you get the grumpy guy then you might be **** out of luck. if you get the nice guy or the woman and it's not sold out but close to it, they usually tell me to come back a half hour before and they sell it to me. they only time i waited in line for SRO, was on easter sunday and the show was sold out so i wanted to make sure and there were 2 people there an hour before the BO opened. otherwise i've gotten standing room 15 minutes before. i guess it's up to luck.

violet, for a saturday matinee(better off it you know it is sold out) i'd say get there an hour before. i'm not sure if people have been lining up now that they won the revival tony, tho. there are only 8 or 9 standing room positions so 7 might cut it close. you might want to double check with the BO to make sure.

oh and "standing room seats" made me LOL.

I know after I went back and read it I was like umm long day syndrome kicked in there so I edited it...I will take a chance to see if we can get standing room...or try the lotto(if at least 1 or 2 win that would be good and then the others can try for standing room or something else) and if no one wins maybe we will try to get the cheaper seats or another day...wow just thinking that exhausts me...at least I get to see it July 1st in the orchestra...so excited
I was in Row B on the aisle and got tons of interaction. Whoever is in Row A, Center section Aisle seat got MO-LESTED by Will. Dude got tea-bagged by Will and lap-danced by Gavin. This poor old 60 year old Asian dude had no idea what was going on. He didnt even speak English, as I tried to talk to him at intermission. HAIR can be intense for some people. I am all for improv-ing with actors, but I cant say I was ready for Will Swenson's taint in my face. But hey, I'm not complaining.

People with anxiety disorders should not sit in the front or on an aisle. When I bought the tix from telecharge, the operator said "prepare to be groped." hahahaha..

What is really sweet, is when the actors break character to say "thank you" when they are done with a longer interaction, as Gavin did to Anne Hathaway. Very sweet.

Ha, so true! I was in the front row too and my friend(a guy) next to me got a Will lap dance amongst the other shenanigans.

Just got back from the box office... Row D Mezz aisle seat for the 28th. I'm excited! :)
My tickets are for right orchestra row B, seats 6 and 8, will I get a lot of interaction even though I'm not on the aisle?

I would do just about anything to have Will stick his crotch in my face. =) Mmmhmm.
I saw it twice. One time I was able to move to the front row due to there being an empty seat there (this was when I won the lotto) and I got one of the female cast members sitting on my lap giving me a hug. I actually didn't see it coming because I was sitting on the left side of the stage in the front row and if your sitting down to your right is the stage and to the left is an entry way where they come on and off stage. She was coming towards my left and I wasn't paying attention in that direction but that was cool nonetheless.

I remember also seeing it via standing room and there is a point in the show where Alison Case spends a good amount of time hanging back there and I was the only person in SRO and she noticed this. She spent time interacting with me half in character half not and finished with a VERY big hug. and then when I stage doored she was very nice to me and talked with me a lot longer then anyone there.

Just bought tickets for October 11 row c seats 9-11. I've warned my sister-in-law about the possibility of interaction -- what can you tell me about it for that area? Also, question. I bought the tickets through Telecharge and it listed the start time as 3:00. However, when I looked at something else, it indicated there were two shows on Sunday at 2p.m. and 7:30. Which is correct?

I sat there on Tuesday and was straddled by Will. Can't complain, right?

And Hair no longer has a two-show Sunday, they just switched the schedule this past week.
