The new cast goes into rehearsals tomorrow. Anyone have any idea when there will be an official announcement?

Just like any other job...if she had a prior commitment BEFORE she was offered the job, they make arrangements. (I'm not saying she is or isn't in the new Hair cast...I'm only talking generalities.)

Doesn't she live in Nashville? Maybe she wants to announce the news on a "home town" station.

I don't think she's announcing anything about Hair. She usually does a few interviews, both tv and print, around the time American Idol starts up each season. She probably won't say anything specific about Hair until the show's producers send out the official cast announcement.

Diana has a February 12th commitment in St. Louis, at a fundraising event for Haiti. She'll be back in NYC Saturday.

Plus, Jay Armstrong Johnson was twittering about "Diana" coming to the NYC. Could be her or someone else, but just saying.

Diana also said this on twitter today which I found interesting: "changing my hair color YET AGAIN! But it's for a good reason " She also told someone "I'll be back in the city this weekend so don't you fret "

Brodway Boy has posted under Rialto thread that Jeannie has already been cast and it isn't Diana Degarmo so Diana must be Sheila.I'm waiting for the confirmation.

Is it going to be an entirely new cast? Is the entire original cast going to London or has that fallen through? Sorry, I haven't been keeping up...

Certain tribe members are staying...off the top of my head: Jay, Paris, Jackie, Bryce..there are a bunch more
