and if you are in NYC area- go to it.


I am pretty certain the set list is:

You know, I just thought of something I could've done. Catch the midnite showing at the Ziegfeld, and afterward, go to a little 24-hour deli for a bit, then go get a spot for the Today Show performance. And if I still had any energy left, go see the show that night! Hairspray overload!

Ah vell. I will still be DVRing the performance tomorrow.

I dunno. I THINK 'you cant stop the beat' is being performed- but im not 100% sure.

Amanda has been doing promotion with the cast this whole week.

She didnt do early promtion- because she had a movie.. and brittany cant now- because shes filming a movie.

I hope I can wake up that early to see it! lol It's like 7:30 AM when it's on in Texas. I know I am going to see it!!! lol. FYI: They've been putting the HAIRSPRAY week vids on TODAY's site. The might put it on there later.

Caught a little bit of it before I went to work, and they did a couple of medleys. The first one was Baltimore, Nicest Kids in Town, and Ladies' Choice, and the second one was Come So Far and You Can't Stop the Beat. I had to leave for work at that point, but Meredith Viera did say they'd be singing again in the next hour.

Also, they had the Council Members from the movie as their dancers. I spotted both Curtis Holbrook and Spencer Liff, which was nice to see!

cute pics! I am loving Nikki's whole 40's vibe.

The vids on TODAY show webisite are of Run and Tell That, Big Blonde and Beautiful, Come So Far (yay!) and You Cant Stop The Beat.

I am certain the rest will be updated today sometime.

I think the rest are Good Morning Baltimore,Nicest Kids in Town and Ladies' Choice.

they all sound pretty good... u can definitely hear how they fixed nikki up a bit in the studio for the film... but thats ok.

I just got off the phone with my 50-something mother who watched it. She thought "the heavy girl" looked kind of ridiculous dancing. Oy. I explained the show, but I know she saw the original film. I really don't get her response.

In any case, I know you can't judge singing from these kind of concerts, but I thought everyone was pretty weak. I am sure it will be better in the film and I look forward to seeing it tonight. Nikki was very cute and had good stage presence.
