This thread is making my goddamn night! I got yelled at before for calling Amy Archer a c*nt, and this is totally making up for it.
I find it SO funny that Loge continues to argue with people after he has continually bashed hairspray. Even the composer doesn't take loge seriously...it's cracking me up.
does anyone have any cocaine?

Ok, Plum is right. I have stooped lower than I have stooped in a long time. Lil' Clover, maybe we can be friends someday, but probably not. Marc, I LOVE YOU - MARRY ME! The rest of you, keep loving Hairspray....keep loving South Park. Theater is great, and differences in opinion are great.
SOUTH PARK FOR EVER!

Oh goodness, what would Brian Boitano do?
Marc,
I think you'd better confine yourself to bed immediately on a diet of malomars, macaroons and Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey until your melancholia over this Loge-person's comments has passed .....

I wonder what Brian Boitano would do? If that would be telling me to love Hairspray, I would, because I love him.
Lil' Clover, not everyone is going to like the same things! You cannot tell me that you like every show and have never said one negative thing in your entire life. Get over yourself!

MArgo,
I believe he would rid us of Loge.
Well, Loge, I thought you were a girl cause only a girl could be such a complete b|tch 0 unless you're....n/m I won't say it.
Either way, we'd never be friends - you never say anything right and you are too dumb. I associate with smarter beings - like single-celled bacteria and my fellow Columbia students (WOO HOO). Sorry.

Once again I say, holy crap, jmac. Only a girl, huh? Way to stereotype. Nice.
How do you take sides in a fight where everyone is a bitch?
#135re: Hairspray! It's Not That Good!
Posted: 11/30/04 at 11:25pmWow Lil' Clover, I'm so impressed that you go to Columbia! Maybe, at Columbia, you can learn how to spell and write a complete sentence.

Margo,
in protest of someone not liking HAIRSPRAY, I have decided to watch all episodes of MANDATE-Male Model back to back
then listen to "SHE LOVES ME", "GOLDILOCKS" and all 4 sides of "KURT WEILL:From Berlin To Broadway", which I'm sure are in the collections of EVERYONE on this site
then...hmm, let me see...read every Peanuts book in print
this is shaping up to be some night!!!!

Anyone else smell that?
It's the scent of desperation and flop sweat of a person trying hopelessly to backtrack off of some nasty statements he/she made about a certain musical, only to realize not only did no one else agree, but that the composer of said show was reading every comment.
An ill wind, blowin' no good.......

I love reading the Hairspray book!
Oh, munk, i was talking about l'ogre - for you I hadn't made a decisiona if you are girl or guy. But you're no bitch. You go to columbia? I'm not on facebook - I am too lazy!

I'm not trying to back track, and you need to read some of the previous posts. Not everyone loves Hairspray. And, whatever, I'm sure Marc doesn't give a crap about what I think. Like I said, only a fool would say they could do better and wouldn't wish to have talent like he has. I think I expressed my thoughts on his work through my statements about South Park, which are absolutely true.
Also, I said in the very first post, that I loved South Park - long before Marc logged on.
Lil' Clover - you can call me whatever you want!

Ok I'm sure there are thing better then hairspray..... but nothing that should be done or talked about in public.

It's hard to take sides in a fight - I'm usually the bitch - but that's ok!
L'ogre is still a schmuk, Hairspray is still kick a$$ show, and L'ogre is still a schmuk!

Posted: 12/1/04 at 12:13amAt the risk of being hung by a testicle and burnt at the stake, and with all due respect to Mr. Shaiman, I, for one, agree with Loge. I too was disappointed in Hairspray. As a big fan of the John Water's movie, I was really looking forward to it. While I enjoyed all the performances, I wasn't overly impressed with the score (although some it WAS clever) and I thought the book was a little weak. And as far as I'm concerned, the sets and scenic design are cheezy. Everything looks made of cardboard. To me, the production has a "bus and truck" look and feel to it.
