Hairspray and this tv show based on the web Prom Queen have a sweepstakes going, for you and a guest to win airfare, hotel stay and tickets to the premiere in Hollywood this July.

Assuming there is an official premier. I like the stipulation that the winner will receive $100 as a substitution. Big spenders they are! :o)

That was awesome! I entered! I wanna see Hairspray sooo bad!!!! I also want to meet the stars. I am so looking forward to this. Are there gonna be different Hairspray teasers after each Prom Queen vid? I hope so. I like those pics Mateo!

I dont really know. The second episode is up now- and it has the same teaser at the end. but thankfully the episode is better than the first.

Don't they usually come out about two months prior to the release date?

They're being so secretive.

I remember "Dreamgirls" had behind the scenes videos on their official website in the summer before the release. Nearly six months prior. Which I know generated a lot of buzz.

If anything, HAIRSPRAY's gonna need even more buzz opening in this summer full of sure-fire blockbusters.

true- but I was almost sick of Dreamgirls by the time it opened.

Although those early behind the scenes videos were divine.

So since we have had virtually no footage shown (at least not legally) I mean the short clip of Link talking at the end of this Prom Queen thing is just about the only Hairspray footage really shown yet.. hopefully more people will watch the trailer and be intrigued and not seem spoiled by hype and other clippings etc.

But wasn't the "Dreamgirls" official trailer out a lot longer than two months prior?

I don't mean to harp on the subject, I just want to see this movie do well.

I definitely feel like the "Chicago" trailer was out a lot earlier, too.

The Dreamgirls trailer came out mid october. (so a little more than two months)


I really hope it does well alsp, but more importantly I just want it to be a good musical adaptation.

Just from the looks of what little footage I've seen, it looks good. But, more importantly, it looks like a MOVIE.

Instead of like THE PRODUCERS, where Stroman basically took a camcorder to the St. James.

haha. yeh. Another Director really should have stepped in.

I'd say the only good musical directors are gay men, but joel schumacher is gay and he directed Phantom. so yeh.

that and it doesn't hold up to the classic movie musical directors either.. so my theory is unproven. :)

I live in ( unfortunatly) live in great neckt the town where nikki blonsky is from i heard that there is going to be somesorta thing at the local movie theatre because she was the one ethat one the national talent search. Luckly for me i don't do anything in great neck other then soeep here and that my entier life revolves around stuff going on in the city friends school and all that jazz. And nte that my haterated for where I live is not because f the harirspray thing. it has been around for many years prior. As a matter of fact no on really has paid that much attention to the fact that someone from great neckt is in the movie.

I pressed the Submit button again and it worked; I initially got the same error message that Mistress got.

PS- I love that they ask you what your favorite kind of movie is, then list EVERYTHING but "musical" as a choice.. No biggie, but kinda funny on a site promoting a big budget-- wait for it-- musical.
