Yeah, Keala is not just "a Tracy". She's been doing the role for a couple years now (longer than any other Tracy). She's a definite pro at Hair Hopping!

Edit: I forgot to mention how fabulous she is in the role! Don't worry, if you're seeing the tour Hairspray, you are definitely in good hands.

cute vid!

i've never heard or read one negative comment about her in the role. she's supposedly absolutely amazing and im sure will be moving to Vegas (cause her family lives there) after Katrina leaves. AND i think Katrina will move to bdway once Shannons contract is up in a few weeks.

i've clearly put way too much thought into this.

Oh, Keala is soo good. the entire cast is really good. But I just love hearing her sing. It was such a change to hear a Tracy that could sing after listening to the OBC. Her R&B type voice really works with the show and the music.

It's going to be sad to see the Non Equity tour. I've already seen some pics of illegal productions on the net, and it hurts to see such a fabulous show ruined.

Keala is an amazing tracy...i haven't seen her understudy yet but i met her and she is really nice and from what I hear she's fantastic, so no matter who you see, it'll be great...

I've met Keala 3 times and she is so nice and such a sweetheart...that's her in my avatar picture! Definitely catch her on tour while you can!

I believe its pretty illegal. I dont want to post the website- it would probably get them in trouble. But i'll post some of the pics soon.

Its a very cheap production. Equivalent to a community theatre production.
