I thouhg of a good cast for the hairspray musical movie
Tell me what you think:
Tracy Turnblad- Kathy Brier
Edna Turnblad- Harvey Firestein
Motomouth: Jennifer Hudson
Amber: Kristen Chenoweth
What do you think of these?

Try a search, there's a thread a few weeks back. But Jenn is a little too young and Kristin is a bit too old for Amber...
I think Queen Latifah would be a good Maybelle and Jessica Simpson wouldn't even have to act to pull of Amber.

Jordan Moseley (from SHOWBIX MOMS AND DADS) would be a great Inez....

I think that it's either Harvey/Robbin Williams for Edna... I think Marissa is just so unique as Tracy ... she should be in the movie!!! I think Jessica Simpson would be the 2nd choice after Britney Spears. And I think that Queen Latifah seems to be a REALLY HOT choice for Motormouth!!!
My CHICAGO the musical group!!!

either of them could COMPLETELY nail either role.
IF Jackie Hoffman decided to take a summer vacation, I would be ALL for Megan stepping in as the Femal Authority Figure for a few weeks!

Posted: 9/18/04 at 12:47pmkathy briar may have been nasally, but i liked her. plus she is on a soap opera, so she is somewhat famous. marissa was nasally too you know.

Not necessarily. You just need to bring in two or three stars. Then you can fill out the rest of the cast with B'way names.

re: Hairspray the muscial movie#24
Posted: 9/18/04 at 2:47pmI will repeat what I said in another post on this SAME TOPIC a few weeks ago. Queen Latifah can't sing "I know where I've been". She does not have that kind of voice. It's very different from "When you're good to mama". Please let's forget about her in that role.
