Just got passed a note that Academy Award nominee Haley Joel Osment joins American Buffalo, alongside John Leguizamo and Cedric the Entertainer.

Seems like this will be a hot ticket. Although Osement doesn't have the "teen girl" factor like Equus will.

I don't think this should be another example of "UGH! Stunt casting!" He's an Academy Award- nominated young actor who is doing drama at an acting studio in college. And does he really have a fanbase anyway? I think he's a talented kid.

Hey, he should have WON the Oscar for Sixth Sense. Michael Caine? Gimme a break. He was robbed because they didn't want to give the award to a kid. Good luck to him, I'm sure he'll be terrific.

I think this cast is interesting.
But, remembering the lines and do the dubie
will be a real challange.

I've heard he's a talented young actor, but my intial reaction was - big deal. However, that reaction is brought about because I'm not much of a movie watcher, nor a television watcher for that matter. IMO his being cast isn't going to bring people to the show. I question; like others, his current fan base or drawing power. Since his arrest, which is really inconsequential anyway, could someone tell me what work he has done. I've not heard his name brought up recently as far as movie roles, but perhaps he's scaled back working for college studies.

There's a curiosity factor here, but I'm not sure it's going to be enough to sell tickets.

Still, I wish him the best of luck with this.

He was one of the best child actors I've ever seen on film.

I believe he's playing Teach. Hopefully, Falls will pull him back and he won't overact like a madman like he does in most of his films.

I dunno. I always thought this play was a bore.
