Hey I've been trying to win the Hamilton Lottery since it has started. I enter every day. I am determined to win before the Tonys. To get me pumped for a possible win, If you have won already please reply with your story. Thanks! X
I won on a rainy evening when Andrew Rannells had just started as King George, and a friend was back in town (formerly lived in NYC, had been living in California, was in the process of moving to Washington DC). I'd already seen the show and thought I'd just help out and go with her if I won. I was one of the last names called. We cheered. She loved the show. The end.

Two of my friends have won before, both they believe by writing something on the back of the slip, and then putting it in on the top of the bucket. I'm not sure if that was actually why, but that's what happened.
My friend won the digital lottery the first time he entered, and I was the lucky plus one. We were out to eat when he won, and I couldn't finish my meal because I was so shocked.
I won the digital lottery a couple of weeks ago after 38 entries. Frantically entered my credit card info. Called my best friend. Started crying. There is hope!

Similar to you, I entered the lottery almost every day. Last summer and fall, I'd drop by the Richard Rodgers theater after work, put my name in, watch Ham4ham show and then listen for the results. It roughly took 20 minutes of my time each day and I didn't mind it.
i never won... Until January 2016! I have a nickname that my friends call me so I didn't recognize my name when they recited my full name (as it had to match my ID.)
it is certainly a very different experience watching the show from the front row versus at the back of the theater (which is the seats I normally can afford.)
since the ticket was only $10, we celebrated by buying cocktails and souvenir programmed and other souvenirs at the Hamilton store.
good luck!!! Oh and a friend was visiting a few weeks ago and we went to live Ham4Ham on Wednesday afternoon and won yet again. Crazy!
This time King George was Rory O'Malley, not Jonathan Groff, which was fine.

I won back in September at the live Ham4Ham, Steve Pasquale was the guest. I was with three friends, who just came to watch the live show but none could actually attend that night. So I made friends with another single person and we agreed to take each other if we won! She freaked out when I kept true to my word and took her!

I won lottery for the production at the Public after about 15 attempts. I won the Broadway digital lottery on my 2nd or 3rd attempt in January but have been trying almost daily since with no luck.

Don't worry, it's possible!
I've won three iteration of the Hamilton lotto - Public live, Broadway live, and Broadway digital (and my sister even won the TodayTix Public lotto!). You just need patience, luck, and a positive attitude. I think about the number of times I've seen the show, and I've still spent less than what most people pay to see it once from the last row in the balcony. Truly fortunate.

I won the in person lottery back in Dec. It was the week before my Christmas, and my 18th try, so I felt like there was no hope. Alas, they called my name (and I let out a SHRIEK). It's possible!

I won the in-person Sunday matinee lotto back in December. I'd been going every Saturday for four months with no luck, but I think the smaller crowd (I noticed not as many people showed up when Javier went on for LMM) helped my chances. I was the last name called (was very surprised, I'd gotten so used to losing!) and got one front row and one SRO ticket.
Haven't had any luck since then, but you can't win if you don't try!

I didn't realize there was more than one lottery. I only know of the digital lottery. What is Public Live, Broadway Live and Today Tix? Sorry if this has been addressed before!

Sorry - that was some weird shorthand I just made up. I meant the in-person lotto at the Public theater when Hamilton was off-Broadway, the in-person lotto at the Richard Rodgers before the lotto went digital, and then at the Public Theater they gave away 2 tickets pers show through the TodayTix app per performance

Sadly, there aren't three different lottos happening simultaneously. The Public lotto was when Ham was at the Public Theater last year. Broadway live was during the summer/fall when the lotto was solely in-person, and then online/TodayTix which is digital and happening now. So I'm assuming that person won at all three installments of the lotto, which is amazing!

Thank you for clarifying! Guess I will keep trying my luck with the digital lottery! :)

Love this thread!
I have entered so many times...in person and on line....no luck yet. :o(
In person so much more fun and so much better odds! But my job prevents my attending frequently.

I was in NY for work for about 10 weeks starting mid-February. I entered the digital lottery almost every day. Sometimes for two tickets, sometimes for one.
Like every other day, I entered the digital lottery Friday morning, the day before I was flying home. I didn't even think about it during the day and instead had decided to go to a classical concert instead for my last night in NY.
I truly had forgotten that Hamilton was still a possibility that night, but when I opened my email at about 4:05 just to check in about some other things, there was the Hamilton email which said CONGRATULATIONS instead of Try Again. My co-worker said I gasped!
It was so exciting. The only drawback is that you only have four hours to enjoy the anticipation and glow of having won.
Good luck! It will happen when you least expect it.

I also enter every single day. I'd love to hear more stories of people winning the digital lottery! I live just under 2 hours away, so I can get there by train if I hustle after I won. I have heard that 10,000+ enter each day, which I am not surprised by, since there are plenty of others in my boat who actually don't live in NYC, but could get there ahead of the show time.

I also live in NJ (about an hour outside of NYC) and have entered the digital lottery pretty much everyday since it started and have never won. I have also done the in-person lotto about 20 times and have never won that either. My brother, however, won the in-person lottery on his first and only try. Go figure!

And he didn't take you?!
These stories have made me unreasonably happy. I've been entering every day at work when I know I will be able to go. No luck but hope springs eternal!

I have a question - do they restrict the number of times you can win the digital lottery? For example, if I win the lottery today, am I able to win again tomorrow? I read through the FAQ's and I cant seem to find this answer.
1st lotto story : After Ham was at the Public Off-Broadway I went to the Box office at the Richard Rodgers with the If/Then marquee still up. I bought a 59$ ticket for their 2nd Monday in previews, last row of the mezz all the way in the back...all the way to the side. The day of the show came and my friend and I both had the day off (we work the broadway schedule). We decided to both enter the Lotto and if one of us won, we would take each other as our guest. As luck would have it my friend was the 2nd name called! We were ecstatic! After that my friend ran home to change and I wanted to sell/get rid of my 59$ seat. I was so surprised that no-one really wanted it. First I tried approaching the small cancellation line of 5 people since it was 1 ticket there was no one interested. I then tried putting it up for grabs on my Facebook, no takers. Lastly I put up a posting here on the broadway world message boards, no messages. I was trying to figure out what I was gonna do with this ticket, then a boy from the cancellation line came outside and said he wanted it. I was so surprised that I couldn't get rid of a fairly inexpensive Ham ticket, i didn't overprice it. I just wanted the 59$ i paid for it ,I thought it was fair karma for winning the lotto.
2nd story: A friend of mine obtained 3 standing room tickets for the wed matinee through their professional connections. So again we decided to enter the lottery. As luck would have it, I won the lotto! I took my friend with me to the front row, and we were able to bring 3 extra friends via standing room.
