Isn't it about time that somebody puts Hannah back on stage in a musical. I was fortunate enough to see her in the original West End production of ALW's THE BEAUTIFUL GAME back in 2000 and fell in love with her and the show ... never get tired of listening to the original cast recording. Check out the official music video for OUR KIND OF LOVE from THE BEAUTIFUL GAME. Who could not fall in love after that?
How much does she actually means at the box office post-Ted Lasso? Wondering if it might be a Brian Cox as LBJ situation. She’s going to be in the 8th Mission Impossible movie which could help her name recognition.
She def means something. But could be less than people think, especially beyond the first 2 or 3 months of a run.

Ted Lasso has only upped her name recognition. But, as evidenced by this clip, she already had a very successful career in musical theater prior to Ted Lasso. So I think she is more than overdue for a return to the stage. I would love to see her play Norma Desmond ... she would kill it!!
Not a stage role, but I've been saying for a while she could make a perfect Phyllis if that planned Follies film ever goes into production. (with Toni Colette as my first choice for Sally)
I am pondering her name value in relation to full-priced ticket sales, as her agents would no doubt feel that she deserves a significant star salary. She had no ticketselling value prior to Ted Lasso outside of niche theatre circles.
Week-of viewership isn't the sole metric, but only 870K U.S. households watched the new season premiere in its first 4 days...compared to 2.9 million for the Succession finale, or 6.73 mil for the Young Sheldon finale, or 19.9M for the Oscars.

I think she would be a big box office draw if paired with the right cast.
Take Sutton Foster for example. Sutton herself is a modestly big name that would put some butts in seats for a little while, but pair her with Hugh Jackman for The Music Man and suddenly you have an enticing pair that people want to see. (yes I know it didn't run long, but the buzz prior to opening was huge).
Or Gaeten Matarazzo in Sweeney. If he was the only recognizable name in a cast then it wouldn't do much after a while, but put him in a cast with Groban, Ashford, and Fisher then you have a thrilling combo.
I think with the right show and cast, Waddingham could be a huge box office draw.

You're citing people who were paired alongside two of Broadway's biggest stars. Sutton sold no sizeable number of tickets that Hugh wouldn't have already sold. Gaten is not even being advertised in SWEENEY; the vast majority of those sales are due to Groban playing this role.
So sure, Waddingham + Jake Gyllenhaal in a show together would do great business, but she would make a limited contribution to that success.

Yes.... that is what I said.
She herself may not be a big enough draw to sell out a show, but she would definitely contribute to a large portion of ticket sales. I think that still makes her a desirable casting choice.
Aside from whether or not she's famous enough to do broadway, she is incredibly talented and would absolutely shine in many musical roles. I would go see her in anything

1000%. I would pay to see her in anything, and the only reason I saw The Music Man was for Sutton, so yeah, she sells tickets and so would Hannah among us theater fans (and there are many, many of us).
