Patricia Morison, who originated the role of Lilli in Kiss Me, Kate celebrates her 100th birthday today. Though she hasn't appeared on Broadway since her stint as Anna in The King and I, she has devoted her later days to painting. Probably the oldest living Broadway legend, happy birthday to Miss Patricia Morison.
Interviewed aged 98
...with a cockatiel on her head
Crazy. Just came across a photo of her as Anna with Yul Brynner, then I see this thread seconds after.
Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday indeed! I adore that interview with her, so lively and candid. Certainly a living legend of the highest order.
^Stunning photo. Thanks for posting.
Happy birthday, Miss Morrison!
Probably the oldest living Broadway legend, happy birthday to Miss Patricia Morison.
Norman Lloyd has her beat by a few months. He turned 100 in November, and while he hasn't been on Broadway since the 1950s, he's still working with some regularity. He has a role in the upcoming Amy Schumer/Judd Apatow movie TRAINWRECK.
Found some more shots of her in KISS ME KATE:

What fabulous sets and costumes (by Lemuel Ayers). Truly some of the most imaginative I've ever seen. He also did the original Oklahoma!, Bloomer Girl, Kismet, and Pajama Game.
