Thought this deserved a thread — exciting casting/creatives! Looking forward to full casting announcement.
Exactly. Doesn't the Oscar winning film still stand on it's own two feet?

Not sure how I feel about this one.
Find him to be a rather boring actor, so eh.
Agree - saw him in 'Pajama Game' and he really lacked any charisma on stage.
Curious as to what this will mean to his talk show. Will it be cancelled, or is this something he will do in addition to his daily show?
Interesting that the "music and lyrics by" now reads "with Harry Connick."

He looked so uncomfortable in that god-awful revisal of ON A CLEAR DAY that I still cringe thinking about how he had to weather that storm. Let's hope he has a better time with THE STING.
I really can't say that, if I were asked who would be a good choice to play a role originated by Paul Newman, that I would choose this charmless homophobic lunk.
And he's probably years older than Newman was in 1973.
For anyone keeping tabs, Connick's talk show was cancelled the other day after two seasons, due to 'lagging ratings'. The show will continue to film 'new episodes' through the summer, and will launch a 'new' shortened season in September and will be pulled from the air officially in December.
So I guess this officially frees him up for 'The Sting'?

Nah, Connick is only 3 years older than Newman was at that time

Did anyone have luck buying tickets? I go to their website but it won't allow me to buy anything.
I got my ticket about 2 weeks ago with no issue. It looks like they're pretty slim pickings now though.
