My amazon order claims it is due to be shipped out today, which is the official release date. Usually Amazon is pretty good about shipping before the release date, so that it actually arrives on the day of release. Has anyone received their copy yet? Is it in stores? This has been such a long-awaited CD, and yet there is still no official CD cover that I can find...
I'm beginning to wonder if it really exists.
My copies of "Say, Darling" and "Happy Hunting" shipped today, but I think "Illya Darling" has been delayed.
Again. I don't think we'll ever see this thing. Its not on DRG's website.
Trace, I hope you enjoy Say, Darling and Happy Hunting. I adore both. Let me know if Happy Hunting is remastered. I have the RCA edition, which sounds fine, but its one of my most listened to CD's so I may need to buy this. I've been in love with Say, Darling since I got it.
Waiting...
How proud this marquee makes me ! That incredible woman, years after her passing, is still soooo missed from the artistic and political life of Greece
Incidentally, I just obtained the DVD of NEVER ON SUNDAY this past weekend. Can't wait to watch it.

Never heard of this so thanks for enlightening me!
I posted that it's been indefinately delayed again in the upcoming CDs thread a few weeks ago.
DRG has taken it off thier website (can't even search for it by item number any more). And talkinbroadway took it off their upcoming list about a month ago.
Unfortunately, I don't think the memo got out to a lot of the online websites, as a lot of them still had it as pre-order to be shipped today.
I don't know what the holdup on DRGs end is though...
Folks from DRG could only tell me that it isn't out yet. No firm dates right now as to the release...as soon as I know something, I'll post.
It will come out when Dracula does.
Amazon has updated their info for "Ilya Darling", it now has a release date of July 1 according to thier site.
Nothing on the DRG website still.
I don't know if they changed this to reflect the "Available in 5-6 weeks" message that they had posted on the 29th (the day it was originally slated to be released).
Fingers crossed everyone!
Hopefully it will come before Jay's "Anyone Can Whistle"...
We saw this show when I was a kid. It was very strange, but the orchestra was amazing. I've heard the record a few times (I hated playing my collectibles) and the overture pretty well says it all.
I found one of those greeting cards with the poster art for "Illya" on the cover of it.
Seeing as how the show was a turkey, I sent tit to a friend for Thanksgiving.
Here's clips from the show on "Ed Sullivan Show".

Notice that the ash never falls off her cigarette.
No word yet from DRG, but Amazon has updated "Ilya Darling" to now ship on July 1.
In other DRG news/rumors, "Milk & Honey" and "Me And Juliet" are rumored to be coming out June 24 (both are listed in the CD tray insert for both "Say, Darling" and "Happy Hunting", while "Ilya Darling" has been absent from the listings).
We'll see when pigs fly I guess...
