I'm getting pretty close (checked off Eugene O' Neill earlier today!) I still need:
Ambassador
American Airlines
Brooks Atkinson
Belasco
Friedman
Gershwin (saw Wicked on tour)
Golden
Helen Hayes
Walter Kerr
Minskoff
Music Box
Sondheim
Before I wrote this I thought it was less!! It's probably because I've been to some theaters multiple times. I've been to the Hirschfeld 4 time now!

If there are 40, I haven't been in these five yet:
American Airlines
Broadway
Longacre
New Amsterdam
Samuel J Friedman
but my daughter's been to Shrek & Poppins on tickets I bought, and I once second-acted Miss Saigon, so we're up to 37 between us
I've been going to the theatre for fifteen years (starting when i was six) and I recently completed the list very recently when I went to see Time Stands Still at The Court this past spring.
I have yet to be in the:
Broadhurst
Friedman (Biltmore)
Minskoff (Saw The Lion King at the Amsterdam)
But I'm gonna see Baby It's You at the Broadhurst and hopefully Good People at the Friedman.
I've been to the Gershwin, Winter Garden, Majestic, Shubert, and Palace (Three times; Legally Blonde, West Side Story, Priscilla)
I haven't been in the:
Ambassador
American Airlines
Brooks Atkinson
Barrymore
Vivian Beaumont
Broadhurst
Broadway
Circle in the Square
Cort
Freidman
Golden
Helen Hayes
Hirschfeld
Imperial
Jacobs
Longacre
Lunt-Fontanne
Lyceum
Majestic
Minskoff
Music Box
Nederlander
New Amsterdam
O'Neill
Schoenfeld
Shubert
Sondheim
Studio 54
Winter Garden
I've doubled up on:
Booth (NEXT TO NORMAL x 2)
Palace (LEGALLY BLONDE/WEST SIDE STORY)
St. James (LuPONE GYPSY/AMERICAN IDIOT)
August Wilson (JERSEY BOYS x 2)
I'm just missing the Imperial and the Minskoff.
Technically I've been in (almost, I've discovered) every Broadway Theater that has operated since the first time I ever set foot in NYC (March 1993). This includes the now gone (and sorely missed by me) Roundabout's Criterion Center! BUT, I was only ever in the OLD Henry Miller's Theater when CABARET and then URINETOWN played there, and haven't been in it since it was rebuilt and especially since it was renamed the Sondheim. That will be taken care of on my visit this May!!!
Okay, I just went back through my theater journals and have discovered that I have double dipped (seen 2 different shows or more) in every theater EXCEPT:
the Imperial (only saw LES MIS there, although MANY times), the New Amsterdam (only THE LION KING, once, unless I can count the Easter Bonnets I saw there), the Shubert (only CHICAGO, although an OBSCENE amount of times), the Nederlander (RENT, twice), the Majestic (only PHANTOM, several times), and the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre I've NEVER been in because it was reopened after I moved out of the city and there hasn't been anything playing there of interest (to me, of course) my few times I've been back to the city since. If only I'd planned my NYC trip for this year a couple of weeks later I would've checked this one off my list with MASTER CLASS!!!
I don't live in NYC (and don't get there as often as I'd like). As far as I can remember I've been to the following (some twice): Broadhurst, Broadway, Eugene O'Neill, Helen Hayes, John Golden, Minskoff, Neil Simon, Palace, St. James, Studio 54, Walter Kerr, Winter Garden.

I am only missing 2 of the current ones, the Schoenfeld and the Jacobs.
I have been in the Royale (Triumph of Love), the Richard Rodgers (Side Show), the Marquis (The Capeman), the Plymouth (Jekyll & Hyde), and the Virginia (The Wild Party). I hope to be in more Broadway houses soon-ish!
Have not been in the Music Box, or Belasco but I did see SUGAR BABIES years ago in the Mark Hellinger, and saw the 1977 revival of HAIR in what was then the Biltmore.
How many of you walk into a theatre remembering previous shows there? Every time I go into teh Booth I remember my first visit there to see the original production of SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
I've been to every theater excpet Circle in the Square. I cannot imagine how I've never been there! I was planning to see The Miracle Worker, but it closed too soon.
I SOMETIMES remeember what I've seen there once I walk in....but more often I sit there and try to figure it ouhere.t. I wish the Playbill would ALWAYS include the At This Theater page. I miss it when it's not t

Mamma Mia!
i'm definitely impressed by the amount of shows and theaters that the posters on here have attended. i personally am missing:
circle in the square
longacre
stephen sondheim
so i'd better get on fixing that!!
I've been in all but the Minskoff, the New Amsterdam and the Nederlander. With the current tenants of those three theaters, it will be a while before I complete my list. I also have only been to the Shubert for the Irish Rep's gala performance of Brigadoon last summer, so I don't know if that really counts.

I was very excited when I saw Pee-Wee Herman last year because I realized it meant that I'd seen a show in every Broadway theater.
Still need to shows in:
Majestic (though I have seen Phantom in countless other venues)

Lunt-Fontanne

I don't think I've seen anything in theatres that are no longer Broadway houses, but I'm not completely sure. This list goes back to my first visit in 1988 to see Les Miserables at the Broadway Theatre.

I had never considered this, but this was a really fun exercise. I hit IBDB and set myself up a spreadsheet. The only theater I haven't been in is The Music Box. I've seen the most shows (6) in the Al Hirschfeld (formerly the Martin Beck). Runner ups were the Marquis (5), Studio 54 (5), Walter Kerr (5). My first Broadway show in 1986 was The Mystery of Edwin Drood at the Imperial. Also listing the shows made me realized I've seen 101 Broadway shows...so fun! Thanks for starting this thread!
frontrowcentre2 - The same for me!. Cannot see the Booth without thinking of the original SUNDAY. However, I will now start to think of SUNDAY and N2N.
