I love Bernadette Peters. I don't make judgements about anyone who doesn't.People are entitled not to like Bernie and it is no reflection on their taste. As they say, opinions are like @@#holes, everybody has one. I am sure there are lots of people WITH taste who have enjoyed Haylie's performance. She has a bit part in a feel-good musical. It's not like she's desecrating Shakespeare or Mamet.

if you watch that broadway.com video...I swear to god she is horrible.

Keep in mind, she's been in the show now for a few weeks--she's had time to adjust and she has probably improved a bit. Those videos are from opening night or so, aren't they? Don't judge her performance from the video.
I'm not a Haylie fan--AT all, but it's not fair to judge performances from video clips (especially ones that short). When I watched the video clip of Mylinda Hull as Jolene in DRS on broadway.com, I was about to cry. I couldn't believe I was seeing her that night--she looked so horrible, but she turned out to be one of my favorite new cast members.

As far as her being "mean"...she doesn't owe you anything. Nice or mean. Once she stops off stage her job is done.
As for the job she did on stage I'll leave that for others to decide.

I was planning on revisting Hairspray once again, but wasnt sure if I should wait for Diana Degarmo's return in September or go while Haylie is still in.
What would be the best thing to do?
Go tomorrow or wait?
