I saw her last night and agree with everyone's assessment of her performance. I think her characterization is only going get stronger and deeper as she settles into the show, but I was so impressed already.

And I do not have words for what Cynthia Erivo is doing on that stage. Wow doesn't begin to cover it.

Sounds like I might need to revisit the show with Headley in it. I was in the camp that loved Hudson's work, but I'm anxious to see what Headley does with the role! SO happy she's been getting raves on here!

Heather is back now, correct?  I know she missed a show/a couple shows due to a pre existing concert engagement but I wasn't 100% sure when she's back and there seem to be contradictory reports. Planning to revisit this tomorrow or sometime in the next week since I hear she's so great.

Does anyone know how long she is supposed to be in the show for? She just keeps mentioning the summer, but no actual dates, so wondering if if anyone here knows any more?

There was a recent NYT spread about her where it mentioned that she is in it until Labor Day.

I saw that Labor Day mention in the NYT as well, but I'm curious if that remains the case. Is she still expecting to bow out then?

She said in her Show People interview that she may extend a few weeks.

I finally saw the show last night.  Heather and Cynthia were both absolutely incredible.  I mean I really felt the transformation of Cynthia's character as the show went on.  The entire cast was excellent, but Heather and Cynthia were absolute standouts.

I'm assuming she's extended. If she were leaving by Labor Day(Sept. 4), I'm thinking her replacement would have been announced by now.

Bump - anyone have any update? Maybe hear something through the grapevine or heard her at the stage door? I would love to go see her in the show but was hoping to wait until after Labor Day if possible.
