I'm trying to rush for a two show day (Sat), and was wondering if they release the evening tkts when the box opens at 10? Or is there a separate line for the evening rush? Thanks!
Hope you were able to get a standing room ticket LYLS - I sauntered up to the box office on Friday at 10:10am - and scored a single standing room center seat (The single standing room spot located right next to the sound booth - great view) The box office guy said there were still several standing room spots left - as well as partial view balcony.
Bette was fabulous. I saw some empty seats in orchestra so I was able to sit down for Act 2. The ladies sitting next to me had bought their tickets on StubHub two days before the show - prob for a lot of money.
Another thread mentioned someone getting a SRO ticket on a two-show Wednesday when getting in line at 10am. I just wanted to confirm that this was the case for me, as well. After picking up my rush ticket at Come From Away for the evening show, I walked around the block and got in the box office line for Hello, Dolly! a little after 10:05am. Both me and a couple behind me were able to secure SRO tickets to the matinee. Granted, I got SRO 22 (one spot away from the edge of the padded bar on house left) and the person to the left of me (SRO 20) had gotten in the SRO line at 8am. Still, this should encourage others to try for SRO, even if/when chances seem impossible.
One reason for this (and I'm speculating here) is that, based on what I heard and saw in the box office, most of the older clientele opted for premium seats (or, you know, actual seats) instead of SRO, even though they lined up at the box office with many SRO ticket-seekers. Given the primary audience for this show, that may make SRO "easier" to get for Hello, Dolly! than for other shows with box office lines of similar length.
I ended up in line at 8:30 on a Friday morning and was about the 7th one. 4 of the people got the 2 tickets. By 930 the line had picked up to 12-15 people but I was the last one in line for a good 45 min. I decided on SR. But they had both sro and balcony left.
Got into town Saturday evening and decided to see what show had tickets available by chance. HD had two tickets in the $225 price range (although I don’t know where they were. Once she said the price, I said no thanks) at around 5:30pm. I was shocked and hope that I can get that lucky again when I actually have the money!
Decided to try Sro today. I got here at 9 and I’m third in line. One girl is getting tickets for donna tonight and not the matinee. Might be a good day to get here if you are trying to see this!

Hey, quick question: the premium tickets, do they count for the show being "sold out"? Such as there are premium tickets available for tomorrow's show, so if I was at the box office in the morning would SRO not yet be available?
Hello all -- I am going to try and get a ticket to see DONNA in DOLLY on Tuesday. Can anyone report on how the lines have been? Am I safe if I come around 3ish? TIA.

Your safe walking up to the TKTS booth around 7:30 pm.
Will be in the city this weekend and looking for 3 of us to see Dolly on 10/28. What are the chances that all 3 of us can get SRO and how early should we arrive on a Saturday to get in line? Thank you in advance!

Considering that the show would have already started 1/2 hour earlier (at 7:00), I would hardly consider getting to TKTS as 7:30 "safe"!

You are absolutely correct. I have never gotten used to the Tuesday early shows. 6:30 or maybe even 6 to be safe.

Unless something has changed I don't believe there are rush tickets of any kind for any performance of Dolly. Bette's run is basically sold out and Donna tickets are heavily discounted thru different sources . Great seats available at tkts.

In the past, the box office has sold $47 day-of partial view seats for Donna's performances, but I'm not sure if that's still happening.

I don’t know what they do for Donna. But if there are tkts tickets available why not take that?
