Hercules

If they turned it into a broadway musical who do you think would be the perfect cast? And do you think it would make a good musical?

re: Hercules

I would strongly campaign for Susan Egan as Meg, for obvious reasons.

I don't think it'd make a particularly good show though. I think Disney musicals work better from their live-action films than their animateds.

re: Hercules

yes I agree with Susan Egan for meg, or Sutton Foster.

Hercules: Christopher Sieber
Meg: Susan Egan or Sutton Foster
Hades: I don't know who would be good fro Hades

re: Hercules

OOO Chris would be PERFECT in the role!!! Same with Susan! No to Sutton.

Jonathan Freeman as Hades!

We're talking about the disney one right?

re: Hercules

It's a good cartoon, but the animation is weird. The characters are so blocky.

re: Hercules

I adore the charatcer design in Hercules.

It would make a fantastic Broadway show, much better than Tarzan.

I have designed so much Hercules as a Live Action Musical stuff its not even funny.

re: Hercules

Hi everyone! first post here :) I've been a long time lurker.

The only thing that I think I'd really like to see on Broadway are the Muses songs. Their my fave part of the movie anyways, and I'd love to see some Broadway ladies belt out those tunes. Other than that I don't think I would be much interested in it, even though there are some quality songs in that movie.

re: Hercules

"Jonathan Freeman as Hades!"

First thing that came to mind.

While I'm a HUGE fan of the movie & most of songs in it, I'm not pushing for anymore Disney shows on Broadway. Not now anyway*

re: Hercules

Has anyone seen the Hercules show on the Disney cruise, pretty good...I like Cheyenne as Hercules, Sutton isn't gorgeous enough to play Meg. She's pretty and cute, even as Janet in Drowsy she's not gorgeous but classic. Meg needs to be hot and gorgeous.
Wouldn't Audra be really interesting as Meg, not the whole Greek look though. Lilias as one of the muses, myself, and other fabulous divas of the stage hahahaha

I'd like to see Audra do everything re: Hercules

re: Hercules

Hunter Foster would make an extremely fun Pain or Panic, depending on who he was paired with. Maybe Christopher Fitzgerald could do something.

Anyone who's played Gaston before can play Hercules. Cheyenne might work, but I would love to see Chris Seiber play him.

Maybe Burke Moses as Zeus? I don't know, just a thought. And Leah Hocking as Hera.

I would LOVE to see Norbert Butz try Hades. He could be so, so crazy with it, if they found a way to make him taller. How great of a faux-villian could that guy be!? Amazing.

Yes, Cheyenne Jackson. Shirtless for two and a half hours. Yum yum and yum again! Love me some scrumptious Cheyenne!

I definitely like the idea of Lilias as one of the muses.

Well, because "There is a black woman inside the soul of every gay man" I think the short fat muse should be a gay guy. Can't you see it he would get the best lines.

That's really cool, mrslovett! They really are my favorite part of the movie, and all of their voices are soooo good. Tell her she has a fan! :)

re: Hercules

LaChanze as a muse!! Obviously =3

And, again very obviously, Susan as Meg. <3 I think it'd make a great show on Broadway.
