Why no to Shoshana Bean I think her riffs would be great for I Won't Say I'm in Love
And I think they would be horrible.
Sherie Rene Scott COULD work, but I don't know. I'd rather see the two I said before.
Okay, the two I mentioned, plus Kelli.
R2DG, what's with all the Elphabas? You realize that Elphaba and Meg aren't the same part even slightly, right?
Also, as much as I love Kelli (duh) I don't really see her as Meg. I think Sherie could be a good Meg, but I think Susan Egan is really the most sensical option.
I'd rather see Kelli do Belle or even Marry Poppins before Meg.
OOOOH, Wait. What if Kelli played Ariel in the new Little Mermaid production coming up? The prospect gives me chills.

I met Susan this past weekend. I said Hercules and she replied with "I'm too old!"
Hercules: Christopher Sieber
Meg: Susan Egan or Sara Ramirez (If she shows up to work)
Hades: Jonathan Freeman
Hermes (the messanger): Michael Berresse
LaChanze was a muse by the way.
an Elphaba should never play Meg.
I just watched this today in the hospital and I totally thought, though Susan Egan is amazing, Eden Espinoza might be good for it. And, Chris Sieber is too old for Hercules. What about Josh Strickland? Just kidding.
BwayBaby- Just because they were Elphaba, they suddenly lost all talent?
Well I still think Sherie Renee' Scott would make a good meg or Diana Degarmo
R2DG - What's your fascination with this?
And no, just because they played Elphaba doesn't mean they're talentless hacks. The characters of Elphaba and Meg aren't anything alike.
That'd be like saying the guy who played Jack (Into the Woods) could also play Sweeny Todd. It just can't happen.

"The characters of Elphaba and Meg aren't anything alike."
And that means what? Why should it matter? It's called being versitile.
I was just curious to see what other people thought. But again any thoughts about Diana Degarmo playing Meg?

I vote for Megan Mullaly as Meg. She is a little old for the part, but I'm sure they could make her read as younger on stage. And she would be absolutely hilarious in that role.

I'm gonna have to say no to this, because I am a Greek mythology purist freak and I hated what the movie did to it, particularly Hades.
I did love the music though. Though isn't Susan Egan too old to play Meg now?
LMAO, Fiction Writer. Is that you in your profile pic, by the way?
Yesterday, I was listening to the cd to Prince of Egypt, and I had forgotten how good it was. I think that should be Disney's next show. I can only imagine what they'd do with the parting of the sea.
But for Hercules: Christopher Seiber, Sutton.. luv her, and Nathan Lane as Hades!
Jonathon Freeman is perfect for Hates. Unless Disney wants to save him to do a "real" stage version of Aladdin in which case I'm okay...
I kind of don't want this show to be made I'm not sure it would work.

It's not by Disney. But that would be good. I think Anastasia would be the best musical ever!
Could Brooke Tansley pull off Meg? I think Christy Carlson Romano would make a very pretty Meg but could she sing it well?
I am wondering if they will just make all the muses one person. Since, there really should be nine!
