Holiday Inn Word of Mouth

Hello I would like some word of mouth on Holiday Inn before I watch it on PBS November 24th. I would like to watch it for Corbin Bleu because I loved him in High School Musical growing up.

I really disliked this when I saw it on Broadway. It was incredible stake in every sense of the word.

I saw the show twice and found it very charming. I had previously seen Corbin in In the Heights and loved him and he was wonderful in Holiday Inn singing and dancing up a storm.

The show itself is nothing special, but worth watching just for Corbin’s amazing dance solo.

Corbin Bleu was charming and this solidified any doubts I had about him. The dancing is great, but the show is just okay. However, what do you lose by watching it on PBS? Two hours or so? He’s good in the show and even if you dislike the rest, at least you aren’t out the $100 you paid for a seat.

I absolutely understand what you’re asking. The word of mouth on this board was very mixed. So far, you’ve heard opinions ranging from awful to very charming. Critics were pretty mixed on the show, if I remember correctly. The general consensus is that Corbin was one of the highlights of the show.

I say watch it. In the end, the only opinion on a show that matters is your own. If you watch this and love it, awesome. If you don’t, the only thing you’ve lost is the time you spent watching it.

I won't be expecting a great telecast like She Loves Me last week but I do plan to enjoy nonetheless. Any other aspects you liked about the show?

What difference does it make.  The only opinion of it that should matter is what YOU think about it.  It will be a more interesting thread to discuss the show once you watch it, instead of asking others to report to you.

 

(And for clarification, it did seem to me, that you were looking for opinions to help you decide whether it was worth your time.)
