re: Holliday is Rooting for Hudson to Win Oscar

Jennifer is crazy! In between the lines: 'I'm supporting Hudson because there is some residual attention for me in the acclaim being given her performance." She's not even trying to hide it!

re: Holliday is Rooting for Hudson to Win Oscar

or do the producers have a "surprise" up their sleeve....a stage appearance by Ms. Holliday to introduce Jennifer's performance of the nominated song "I Love You I Do"? Or perhaps there will be an OBC Dreamgirl reunion onstage to introduce Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce and Anika in a melody of their nominated songs?

That wouldn't do a thing for the ratings. You're kidding yourself.

Ratings? I wasn't even thinking about ratings. I was just speculating about the nature of Jennifer Holliday's invitation to the Oscars. It's been reported by an DG insider over IMDB that despite not getting a Best Pic nom...the telecast will be "dreamy" re: Holliday is Rooting for Hudson to Win Oscar

re: Holliday is Rooting for Hudson to Win Oscar

I saw both the roiginal "Dreamgirls" on Broadway, and watched the "Dreamgirls" movie on Saturday night. I must admit that they did an OK job with the movie- better than "A Chorus Line" and "Rent", but NOTHING compares to the stage version with Jennifer Holliday. Jennifer Hudson can't act and sing anything close to Jennifer Holliday- and Beyonnce better stick to singing and videos. Long live the original "Dreamgirls" on Broadway....

Is that you Ms. Holliday?

lol

anyway, no need for rooting, Jenn! Is there any suspense at all that Hudson and Murphy will win? Dear God! Murphy with an Oscar! It's enough to give you shivers!

Well, that's lovely.

At least we know she's not going to stake out a good sniper spot on the red carpet.

Eddie Murphy doesn't have a shot for that Oscar; why he was even nominated is beyond me. As for Hudson, she'll win just because the movie is such a hit- not because she's so fabulous. Besides, who else would they have voted for from that movie? AT least she was the best out of the three girls.

I thought Anika was the best of the three.

Wanna Be, I'm so glad you said that! I know her role wasn't anywhere near as large as the other two... but I hate that no-one's talking about her. I really loved what she did with her role. I wanted to see more of her.

re: Holliday is Rooting for Hudson to Win Oscar

Anika was the best.
Hudson will most likely win.
I wanna see Murphy lose cause he just released junk like NORBET.
I want Jackie the child molester to win.

re: Holliday is Rooting for Hudson to Win Oscar

Anika WAS the best!
how about people recognize HER! (she deserves the oscar)

re: Holliday is Rooting for Hudson to Win Oscar

Holliday either hired a new PR team or has realized after the movie becoming a hit that it was time for some back-pedalling.

Fierce voice, but if she keeps harping on Dreamgirls she might be considered a one-trick-pony... oh wait...
