except that it's the gross pay, not the take-home pay. that $2k drops significantly once you factor in taxes, supplemental insurance (most AEA plans are not sufficient), and agent cuts of 5 - 10% per week. some will also have managers who typically take an additional 3 - 5% of weekly pay. and then you need to remember MANY of these actors go through months, or sometimes years, of unemployment.
