Houston Broadway Theatre’s FALSETTOS cancelled?

I follow a couple folks (namely Zachary Prince, Bex Odorisio) who were in first week of rehearsal for FALSETTOS at Houston Broadway Theatre and apparently the production got cancelled after a week of rehearsal. This is the company where Tyce Green is “president” (?) and he has been prone to controversy before, with accusations of grooming minors, before leaving Houston for a while and coming back to form this company a few years later. Does anyone have any insight as to what happened?

Quite a choice to cast yourself as the son in Next to Normal at age 33! (To say nothing of the horrible allegations.)

He seems to have hitched his company’s existence to Joe Calarco, a competent regional theatre director who works a lot. The theatre has a decent social media operation because I got served a lot of their Hunchback content - but that’s clearly not helping them sell tickets to Houston locals.

Anyone who opens a nonprofit theatre company with the hope of earning more from ticket sales than donations in the first 5-10 years of operation either lacks experience or common sense (or both).

They are throwing a lot of money at the shows which is wonderful. Unfortunately, the two productions we have seen didn't meet the money spent. The show's have starred the same actor with the same director - even a randomly shirtless hunchback choice.

Did the director of all of these show know about these accusations of this actor and his company?
