Any show, just put it down:
Mama Mia: 2 years.
*cue everyone who thinks that discussions like this are negative and inappropriate*
2 years for MAMMA MIA! is wishful thinking. It's still selling out. It's not going anywhere for a long time.

The producers of Rent and Chicaco will make an agreement to close at the same number of performances. This will be either after surpassing Les Miserables or after surpassing Cats. The producers of Chicago will then cheat on the agreement and end their run with one more performance then Rent.

I think The Wedding Singer will pull through this year o.k. When Constantine leaves, then it's over.
"Tarzan, a few months."
yeah, cause disney closes shows.
TARZAN will never close anytime soon...beleive me..
"Mamma Mia!" is another logo show, plus the word-of-mouth alone is what keeps it going and going and going. Once the film-version comes out (end of 2007), it'll be even BIGGER, so judging by it's worldwide appeal, it ain't-a goin' anywhere in the long future.
"A Chorus Line" will have it's descent run, but will close by Christmas 2007, "Grey Gardens" will have a shorter run -- it'll become the next "Caroline, or Change".
"Chicago" is also another logo show, and all that I mentioned above regarding "Mamma Mia!" applies here -- the film-version's success has pretty much guaranteed it's worldwide appeal.
I think wedding singer will close jan 1...def. agree with "Grey Gardens" being a "Caroline or Change"....I give "The Producers" till the end of the year also.

Seeing these shows that are predicted to run "forever" is so depressing. Mamma Mia, Wicked.... blech. I only give Drowsy about another year though.

Beauty and the Beast - Two years after the set collapses
I think that Chicago will have a long run because its film won Best Picture, while yes, Rent was made into a film, it just did not have the star power, or the prestige that Chicago did. I would not be suprised if rent closed before 2008
RENT will stick around for a few more years. If they announced closing, there would be such a ruckus that they would just end up staying open.
I don't think BEAUTY AND THE BEAST has 10 more years left in it...I give it 2-4 more years.
Beauty and the Beast- 5 years
Phantom- Never
Lion King- 15 years
The Color Purple- 5-7 years
RENT- 10 years
Chicago- 10 years
Tarzan- 3 years (wishful thinking)
Producers- less than a year
Wedding Singer- 6 months
Cheers,
Christopher
Disney might close any of the shows, stick them in the stupid Disney Vault to build up more hype, then reopen them in 10 years.

I could see Disney keeping Tarzan open until Little Mermaid is ready and then moving it into the Richard Rodgers.
