The Producers is going down the drain. I'd give it two years, unless they decided to bring back Matthew and Nathan.
If it makes it thru Jan/Feb/March 2007, I would give it until the end of 2007
If the grosses are down significantly during that period the plug may be pulled than. It may be keeping the theater occupied until Young Frankenstein
I thought Lestat would live forever... hehehehe
Lestat never closed. It runs at midnight in the Palace when all theatergoers have gone home

That's a good one.
They say that when you pass by the Palace, you can hear that sound effect that sounds like dying wales which is played every time someone gets bit.
Hairsprays surely not going anywhere. Not that soon. Rent will make it another five, but not another ten.
Hairspray WILL NOT be closing next February with the movie coming out soon.
They sacrifice a critic nightly at a black mass after the show
The last one was John Simon but he was a bit old & chewy. The thought of Simon turning into a vampire & living forever - UGH

But if Rent closed, then millions of cymbalta popping teenagers would hold mass suicide parties and atend them dressed as Pussy Galore.

THAT is hysterical and soo true.
I really don't think Rent will close soon.
I do think Jersey Boys will close in a few. Once the hype dies down, it'll be gone.

Grey Gardens hasn't opened officially. Why are we predicting its demise? Don't we want good shows on Broadway?

"RENT - within the year."
I seriously doubt that that is going to happen.
At 100% capacity for the last couple of weeks, Jersey Boys looks liek it will last for a while. I'm sorry, but the cast isn't going to make or break this show. Did the cast change in Wicked break it? How about Hairspray? Jersey Boys has way more years left.
