Hi All,

I've just joined and have been following a lot of interesting
posts.

My question to you all is how many and which shows have you
seen more than once and did you pay full price?

I'm particularly interested in "Wicked" as it appears many of you have seen it multiple times.

Thanks for your responses!

I usually see shows one time unless i really adore them:

Avenue Q- 2 times
Wonderful Town- 2 times
Millie- 6 times
Urinetown twice-
Cabaret-2
Take Me Out- three
42ND STREET- TWICE

Secrets- 50 times (well i was dating the Producer)
Betty Rules- three times
Listen to my heart- three times

I think I've seen three shows more than once -- two on Broadway, one in the West End:

Dracula -- I saw it a couple of times with Frank Langella, at least once with Raul Julia, and once or twice with Jean LeClerc.

Phantom -- actually I've only seen that twice on Broadway, and once in Vienna, London, and Washington DC

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang(in London) -- an even dozen.

This year was the first year I ever saw a show more then once.
I have seen
Millie 2 times
LSOH 5 times (I'm sing it with my parents again in April)
and
Hairspray 7 times with tickets for 8,9,10, and 11 (which involve a friends bday, a trip with my best friends who haven't see it and 2 cast members lasts days.)

I like seeing shows more than once, if I can. I think a really good show makes you want to see it again, and I always get more out of it on a second viewing. I haven't seen a lot of shows more than once, but in some cases, I wish I did and in others, I still hope to.

Aida - 5
Taboo - 4
Movin' Out - 3
The Full Monty - 2
Cabaret - 2
Urinetown - 2

and Rent. Way more than I really should admit.

Wicked is indeed the only show I have seen twice, and I was lucky enough to see Kristen the first time and Laura Bell the second...hopefully I will get to see Eden in June when Idina was out...but we'll see!

Rent- 5 and attempting at making plans for more
Mamma Mia- twice. Actually I don't like it all that much but my parents took me.

I'm going to see Wicked for a second time sometime in the next few months.

I know not a very impressive list but I would have seen a lot of things more times by now if I was able to get to nyc more often.

OK, I won't list them all, but...

Les Miz: 30+
Phantom: 15+
La Bohème: 10+
Rent: 7

There must be a dozen or so I've seen at least twice. The ones I can remember right now are The Secret Garden, Man of La Mancha, and Urinetown.

The shows I have seen more than once are:

Les Mis-10 times
Rent-3 times
Miss Saigon-2 times
Saturday Night Fever- 2 times
A funny thing happened on a way to the forum-2 times
Grease- 3 times

Les mis is the only one I saw so many times becuase I loved it , the others were usually really cheap tickets, or they were gifts, etc.... I rarely ever pay full price for tickets, I think I only paid full price for Les Mis once.... my mom works for a NYC school and they are TDF members so thats how I see most of them.

I love seing shows more than once, but due to the distance it's quite difficult, since in order to see a show either in London or NYC it involves a vacation trip :)
However, I have seen Phantom 3 times and I've seen twice Les Mis, Miss Saigon, Sunset Boulevard, Starlight Express and Crazy for You. All these in London and all full price.

Take care

Les Miserables: 9 (London and US tour)
Urinetown: 2 (tour)
La Boheme: 5 (LA and SF)

Ugh, I forgot:

1776: 2 (Ford's Theater)

I won't get into regional productions that I have seen repeatedly because that list would be much too long.

And the second part of the question... Unfortunately with tours in my area, you end up paying full price. I managed to get some free and some reduced tickets to La Boheme in LA, and of course in London I took advantage of TKTS, but discounts just don't really exist for tours in major venues in San Francisco.
