Tickets are super cheap in the rear mezz...is the view really that bad?
Thanks!
Not bad at all.

If it's anything like last Tuesday night, the ushers will tell you to move up because most of the mezz was empty. Everyone moved to the front mezz and most everyone had purchased the $26.50 tickets.
I suggest just springing for ten dollars extra and doing rush. (No student ID needed.) I did it Saturday afternoon and ended up in the third row.

View from the last row of the Golden is God-awful, plus the fact that you can hear what's going on at the Jacobs theatre next door. DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!
I sat there for Red. Wasn't bad at all, especially if you can move up. Sounds like paying an extra $10 is worth it, though.

I agree with the person who suggested rush. For this show, the closer the better and it's usually not full. Even with TDF, I got 7th row orchestra.
It sounds like rush is the best idea...if I get to the rush line at 12:15 on Sunday (15 minutes after the box office opens) will it be completely impossible to get tickets?
Any seat facing that stage is perfect. (Translation: just got see it.)
I'm with you East Side. I didn't feel that I needed to be closer when I was up in the mezz. In fact, I normally feel that way at both plays and musicals, I don't like sitting farther back than the third row. It really didn't matter at The Normal Heart, I don't think I lost anything from sitting in the mezz.
I did rush for the 7 pm show on Mother's Day. I stopped by the box office after rushing Sister Act at around 12:15. I got seats in the front row rear mezz (what they call the front mezz is very few rows) and they were an absolute perfect view.
