How many Broadway LPs, if any, do you own and which ones?

For those who don't know, LP stands for Long-Playing Disc. It is also referred to as record, vinyl album, and just plain "album." What you do is you just listen to it on a turntable and when the first side is done, you flip it.

Incidentally, I am not sure if there is already a thread on this.

Well, I haven't counted, but here's the ones that I know I have:

Cats (London and Broadway)
Candide (not sure which incarnation, though)
Chicago (OBC)
A Chorus Line (2 copies)
Godspell (2 copies)
Guys and Dolls (African-American Broadway cast)
My Fair Lady (London)
Pippin (2 copies)
Sweeney Todd (OBC)
Threepenny Opera (w/ Raul Julia and Ellen Greene)
You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

So far, that is 18 in total.

The only one that I own specifically is the OBC of Chess.

My family has a decent collection of musical related albums...mostly they are compilations. We have albums like the songs of R&H, and some Broadway classics recordings.

I have about 100 or so cast recordings on disc. Mostly classic shows. A recent flood ruined a lot of them, though, I've been replacing them with cd's as of late.

The only two I have I inherited from my mother.

Funny Girl and Damn Yankees.

i've inherited a bunch of classics from my mom, but the only one i ever listen to is Showgirl (w/ Carol Channing) since all the rest have been released on CD.

These all belong to my parents, technically.

I believe they also own a My Fair Lady and Camelot, but I don't know if they're OBC or soundtracks.

I only have one, Sophisticated Ladies, because for the longest time I could only find it as a LP, not as a CD. But I finally found 2 CD's on eBay about two years ago.

Has anyone ever used the recording devices that can transfer the music on an LP to a CD??

I left home at 17 so I have none of my childhood collection of LPs or the 45s of 'Damn Yankees' that my mom gave me.

At this point I only own one LP.
I found it at an antique shop two years ago.
It's "Camelot".

I have about 50 that I've been lugging around for years. I do have a turn table (at least) to play them on... but I rarely do, since I've transferred the out-of-print ones to CD already myself. Probably the "coolest" one I have is the signed "Follies in Concert" album, with Sondheim, Stritch and Cook's signatures... all autographed in person at Barnes & Noble back in early '86.

I have a lovely LP collection that I started a few years ago (I'm nineteen, so I missed the record era). I am hoping that it will have more broadway collections soon.
