I know some of you have mentioned that some performers know about this website, but which ones actually read it...if you know of any? How many know what it is??
I am pretty sure Anthony Rapp reads this site and I bet many others do too
There are a few who read the site and a few who actually post on the site...so be careful what you say, unless you just don't care that a certain performer knows you think he/she is hot, a jerk, or an untalented hack. :)
To get a little idea of who reads/visits BWW, just look at some performer's websites. I know a lot of them which list BWW as a link.

I would say almost all know about this site, being as BWW is one the biggest Broadway sites. Many performers I have talked to though, specifically do not read message boards, but as said, when posting always keep in mind that they might
And a few notable composers as well.

I'm sure many more Broadway notables lurk here than would ever admit it. And, some may post with real names others with fake.
Anyhow...if they want to see what the public thinks, to quote Brigham Young: "This is the right place!"

Off the top of my head, Anthony Rapp, Fredi Walker-Browne, Marc Shaiman, Jason Robert Brown, Jeff Marx, and Jeff Whitty have all openly posted here
and someone once pretended to be Nathan Lane, but he was a fake and was caught

I know for a fact of a handful that read and a completely different handful who post.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
Wax Lion says that he is *almost* certain that recognizable Broadway and other performers read Broadway World on a regular basis.
Love,
Wax Lion
A lot read it. However, a lot are afraid to read the message board.
What ever happened to Fredi Walker? She needs to come back to broadway, I love her voice.
People don't have to censor their opinions just because someone they like or dislike as a performer might read it. They are honest opinions. I'm sure that whomever reads this message board does so knowing that they may not like everything they read.
If I were a broadway name... i would stay clear of these boards!

considering BWW interviews, photographs and holds concerts featuring broadway performers, id say they all know about it...
but id bet a larger percentage of performers visit the site to see thier event photos or interview or whatever than they do to read the message board.

If it were ME being a broadway notable, I'd read these every chance I get! Though a lot of it is salacious gossip, it's still your public and it's important to know what they are saying/thinking/feeling. What you as the performer do with that information is your own beeswax.

I would too with all the hateful, unnecessary things that get said on here.
I would totally read and post if i was an actor, etc
I know one who knows of the boards, but doesn't read them.
Most of the Broadway community knows about the Broadway message boards, and probably alot more "peruse" then admit.
No, this one really doesn't. Not an internet person at all.
I wasn't second guessing you Rath. But you just know Elaine Strich and Angela Lansbury are here every day...
