From personal experience on another website I absolutely concur that family members and close associates of performers do check various websites.

And, even a comment made off-hand can get you a response. Sometimes quite unexpected. And, if you are a prolific poster your comments will be recognizable. In fact, in a flurry of posts on a particular topic, I was one of many making comments...yet my posting name was the one that was remembered.

Everything was resolved with the other party and our subsequent private communiations are very cordial--but it was a bit discombobulating to have them step into our "world" and make contact.

Yes. I also know from personal experience that there are close associates of Broadway performers who read/post.

I also know (from personal experience) that broadway performers who read these boards do not necessarily respond to every little post i write or at all. Anthony...Neil....Zepka... where are you?!

I've been nothing but nice to JLT...

But Megan Hilty - WOOOOOOO I cannot wait to see her - if her stage door etiquette is any resemblance of her performance - WOWCHACHAWOO

And I have sent PMs and e-mails back and forth with someone who PM'd becasue of somehting nice I said.

I have received e-mail from a few mighty impressive Broadway names who were commenting on some of my interviews here at BWW. I've also been to some after-parties for various Off-Bwy shows and some recognizable Broadway names mentioned that they've read my writing.

When I contacted Robert Goulet for an interview (I don't think it will happen now because LA CAGE is closing), his wife mentioned that she was familiar with my work and liked it.

Also, Nathan Lane DID post here about 2 years ago. He had made a comment about "Dollypop" during an interview with Seth Rudetsky. I began posting negative comments about him to catch his eye. I received an e-mail from him asking me to stop. When I met him at the BC/EFA Flea Market that year he claimed I scared him. Now when he sees me he literally runs in the other direction.
