Two hundred eighty-seven and counting! I just picked up ...SPELLING BEE and LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA. Hopefully I will be able to add BAKER STREET in the fall (Decca Broadway is FINALLY releasing it!) Now if they would only release DON'T BOTHER ME, I CAN'T COPE...
Over 100..but I haven't counted..so it may even be a lot more than that!

I have a personal data sheet on Excel listing all my CDs updated after every CD purchase I make. I have currently 68.
EDIT: I bought the "25th Annual...Bee" yesterday.
I'd say over 30 or 40, but I only got into Broadway in December, so it's likely to continue up.
60...I know, it's not much.
Somewhere in the Low 100s.

About 100. It's really bizarre knowing I have that many cast recordings. Should I be saving my money? HA.

Probably about 100. I haven't counted, tho. Maybe I'll do that sometime when I'm bored...
About 250 or so, probably a little more.

Well, let's put it thus: I own Cast Recordings of 279 Shows as far as I know, but I do often own more than one Cast Recording per show, so the overall number is quite a bit higher. But haven't counted it yet.
Yikes, about 750. I can't even come close to remembering what all I have any more.
Not enough due to lack of expendable money. Probably around 30.
352 at last count.
On CD: 812
LP: approx 250 (it keeps shrinking as the Lps are replaced by CD')
10-inch Lp's: 57
45 RPM & EP: 16 sets
78 RPM: 12 boxed sets plus 16 really old 12" single 78 RPMS recorded by the Victor Light Opera Company called "Gems from..." These were the fore-runners of cast albums. These were done for shows between 1900 and 1929. In 4 1/2 minutes the studio chorus and solos would run though a medley of hit songs from a show. Each record featured 2 shows (one on each side) and for many scores this is the only recording ever made. Many of these are collected on the CD's called BROADWAY THROUGH THE GRAMOPHONE. Check them out...once your earholes adjust to the antique sound, these are a treasury of great tunes!
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
I wish I had as many as some of you guys!
I've been collecting since 1998. I used to get about 2 CDs a week at about $15 apiece. I also benefited from selling used CDs and discount promotions at my local Record Theatre. When income tax time and Christmas comes around, I splurge.
NONE of my CDs are burned!!!
39 but i'm 17 years old and poor.
*is ashamed*
...and here I thought my mid-20's was a lot;D
A measley fifty-three. But I'm getting there.
