"And the days grow short... when you reach September..."
Got a promo email advertising performances until January 6, 2019, but I haven't seen this posted as a closing anywhere... does it even have that long?
It's selling very well and was just announced about a month ago or so that tickets are on sale through August of 2019. I don't think it's going anywhere, anytime soon.
Is this question a joke?
Unless it is having some casting crisis to which we are not privy, why would it close? It's making money each week and shows that are making money usually don't close.

why would this close?? Isn't this doing very well? I saw it, and even though it's far from a perfect show, I had a great time at the theater. And sometimes that's all you need...
September 22.

Is it selling really well? I thought its numbers were slipping.
Also what is the above date? Its closing date? I highly doubt that.

Good one.

relative vs absolute. you don't "lose" $300k when your show slips by that amount. You only lose money when you shows costs more to run than its net gross. It does not appear that this show has lost money in any frame, and it has been essentially level since the Fourth through Labor Day. Where it goes from here is anyone's guess.

Welp, that went straight over my head.

Getting back, finally, to the OP...
"Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends."
It might last longer than we think. The discounts aren’t as deep as they were before.
I also got an email today referring to the show as “This Summer’s Biggest Hit!”, which is either a purposeful pun or a delusion.

Its summer competition is/was Gettin' the Band Back Together and Head Over Heels. By comparison, it's a big hit.

As long as we're playing Can You Top This:
"The Summer when I was ten...
Was there a Summer when I was ten?
Must've been a long one back then..."
Sigh.

I've actually had some interest in the show lately. How does it compare to Beautiful? Also, is rushing the show pretty easy?
I've heard that the show may be closing by the year's end. Isn't the show only selling like 60-70% capacity? Not sure if the show is still gaining a surplus even with that though.

Capacity doesn't matter, what people paid to sit in the seat does, and the average price was only $87.
You can get it up to 100% if you keep reducing prices and giving deep discounts, but you aren't making any money.
