Why would Hilty be submitted for Supporting? That's clearly a leading role.
It's really an ensemble show. I think the only role you could make an ironclad case for being a lead would be MacPhee.

I'm sure Messing and MacPhee will be submitted as leads, sometimes ensemble shows just have to make a choice in terms of what benefits them but also what's written on the actors' contracts. Messing is listed first on the credits, I'm sure she'll be submitted as lead. Remember that with THE SOPRANOS, both Edie Falco and Lorraine Bracco (sp?) used to submit themselves as leads, even when Falco was more clearly the lead actress in the show, but Bracco had a large role and was the Oscar nominee from the two. January Jones and Elisabeth Moss have switched lead/supporting categories throughout the years as well. I imagine it'll be Messing/MacPhee for lead, Huston and Hilty for supporting actress. I doubt anyone will get acting nods for this season though.
I do think they have a pretty good shot with Uma Thurman getting in for guest acting, I thought she was great and revitalized the show in a way that it really needed.

They have already decided who is going to be submitted as lead, and the only lead actress submission is Debra Messing. While everyone else: Huston, McPhee, and Hilty are competing as supporting actresses.
