Humans behaving perfectly

Hello World,

I wanted to send this out into the universe because after this weekend, I feel such hope with theater audiences once again. 

So, I caught Almost Famous, Kimberly Akimbo, Funny Girl, and &Juliet this weekend. All the principals were there, everyone was incredible but most notably, I saw no cell phones out. I saw no one filming anything. Everyone was present, engaged and truly enjoying their theatrical experience. 

Last Fall feels like a bad dream. It was awful honestly to attend Broadway a year ago. It was strange and scary for so many.  But, this season feels different. I knew we couldn't bounce back immediately and it took a long time to shake off the dread that was 2020. Yes, Covid is still around but it's no longer the terrifying big bad it once was thanks to medicine and intelligent people. 

Anyways, I felt so hopeful seeing these performers this weekend and how invested every single audience was for these shows. So, if you attended the same time as me, I just wanted to say thank you.

I was in the city last week and ditto to what you said. The audiences were great. You could hear a pin drop. Everyone was so well behaved. Let’s keep putting that energy out into the universe.

I echo this. I saw Six last week and I'm not sure, but I think there was a school group there. Or at least a group of young adults. And they did not have phones out (that I noticed, I was engrossed in the show though, as I always am), I don't believe I heard any talking...I have hope for audience etiquette.

Thanks guys, and yes let's put that awesome energy out into the universe going forward and hope it can stick around awhile.
