Well, I gave him a bit of a bye for that, since we know how well Broadway performers are treated in La-la Land...

Jon Rua and some of the other cast members have also been in overdrive mode of taking every positive tweet and retweeting. I'm kinda thinking the producers told them Sunday that this show was circling the porcelain bowl and they'll all in desperation mode...and FTR, I liked it. Well, other than Hunter Foster...

I think it's all very tongue and cheek. The thing about twitter is, you don't have to follow him, or read. It's his own feed, he can say and do whatever he wants. He has a show that isn't doing well, and he's trying to use his (broadway) celebrity to help. What's wrong with that? He, along with the cast have put time, effort And a lot of love into the show. It's not my cup of tea, but I can respect the work. And you all are making fun of him for trying to boost sales? Why? Like him, his performance or his politics or not, but he's earned the right to say what he wants, he's a huge player in the broadway community and deserves a bit more than you all are dishing out to him.
And no. This isn't sutton.
Except he's shown himself to be a bit of an oaf.
Just like he has the right to tweet whatever he wants, people have the right to comment on those thoughts.
I think the writing's on the wall that this show ain't going to last much longer.

You heard her! Dish out some more! He deserves it!
Whut is his beef? Don't he got a part on his sis's show playing her bro?( artistic stretch!) So he gots a paycheck coming-.
It ain't easy being cheesy.

Im probably the only one on here to think so but I think they're really funny!
Hes not hurting anyone- hes just thinking up sayings or slogans and voicing them on a site where you voice everything you do...
How awesome would it have been if Chris Sieber was in this show too.

So, will this show be on studentrush.org soon?
" I think it's all very tongue and cheek."
Tongue IN cheek.
"...he's a huge player in the broadway community and deserves a bit more than you all are dishing out to him."
No, he's not and no, he doesn't.
I like Hunter Foster, and I'd love to see him sing The Ladies Who Lunch at the stage door... not just a verse, but the whole song. He tweeted that last night's show was sold out. Good!
I wouldn't exactly call Hunter Foster a "huge player" in the Broadway community. And I hate how self-righteous people get when something someone says or does gets criticized. Of course he has the right to tweet whatever he wants, and since it's public, if people see it and think it's stupid or offensive they have the right to comment on it.

Newintown- so sorry. I love having people like you around to make sure I'm on my grammar game. Feel better about yourself? Good then.
He is a broadway name. He's been in 10+ broadway shows. He isn't a Raul but he is a major player.
And I get it you're on a message board "we get to post our feelings waaah...it's our right to post what we want waaaaahhhh." But does a THREAD need to be started about a dude making tongue IN cheek tweets to up the exposure of his show. That was my only point .
Go back to ripping apart broadway and correcting spelling, that's what this board is best at.
Sincerely,
Shirley Foster
Don't get hostile because you got a figure of speech wrong. Now you know how to use it correctly, you'll be a better speaker/writer.
And yes, it does make me feel good to know I've helped you become better in some small way.
"He's been in 10+ broadway shows."
He's been in 9, one of which was a 6 performance concert.

Not hostile dude. I just think the nit picking is a touch pathetic. I'm totally zen about it all.

Excellent piece in the U-T San Diego by their theatre critic today about the tweets, and the producers' expectations.

"Among them were such questionably effective pitches as, "Why did Jodi Arias kill her boyfriend? He didn't get her tickets for @HardbodyMusical."
(Maybe it's time for Foster to get his hands off the keyboard.)"
Wow.
Well of course he's a "name". But that isn't the same a "huge player.
You can re-word that point all you want, but it remains a truism that he doesn't have the ability to sell tickets. That's what a "player" is. Someone who can bring in the money.
Exactly - he's still in the take-any-job-offered part of a career; that's why he'll play a non-singing role in a jukebox musical and display his sphincter in simulated porn Off-Broadway.

What's this about off-Broadway simulated porn? He should link a reel on his Twitter. Or maybe do a brief version using the Vine app.
