Posted: 3/26/13 at 8:16pmI feel terrible because I really enjoyed the show but the advertising campaign has devolved into a sad Twitter meltdown. If you don't have the budget to actually advertise a show in a meaningful way, why bring it to Broadway? Do they make that much money on licensing that they can afford the loss if the show bombs like a Lysistrata Jones?

Posted: 3/26/13 at 8:16pmI don't think anybody has to tell the cast the show is in trouble, they have eyes and could see the size of the houses they were playing to. They also know when the house is being papered, as the cast is usually the first ones to hear "we have extra comps available for the following performances, get names to company management."

Posted: 3/26/13 at 8:22pmI know the guy is a bit of a d**k, i had a lot of PM conversations with him on FB about his daft Tony campaign, but i see nothing wrong here, he is going all out to promote his show. I encourage my cast members to use social media to promote the shows.
