That's a dangerous question.
Sutton is bound to get a lot of support simply because she's done "more" than Hunter... at least, more that's been in the public eye. Toured with the Will Rogers Follies at 17, dropped out of college and showed up her professors who said she'd never make it out of the chorus, paid her dues in minor roles before her Cinderella moment replacing Erin Dilly. She's a three-time nomineee and a Tony winner, for god's sake, how does Hunter measure up?
Easy... Hunter seems to be more to the creative side of shows - writing the book [I think? correct me if I'm wrong-] for Summer of '42, sticking with Urinetown from the off-Broadway beginning all the way to Broadway, ect. I think I'd say that there is no "better" Foster. Sutton is the media gem, Hunter is.... not, but he's still pretty dang talented, and in more ways than Sutton.

They're both fantastic in their own right. It's difficult to compare them, and we don't need to do the favorite sibling thing...

they're both great... so why discuss? They're wonderful in their own ways... I'd die to have them as my bro/sis or if i am a parent... my kids! haha!
They're so nice and talented! But I do think Hunter Foster deserves a Tony!

As for the rest of you, why don't you just ask Hunter/Sutton's parents? I'm sure they could provide you with the answer you seek. Better yet, perhaps they read the board. I'm sure they would love this thread.

Posted: 7/22/06 at 12:21pmI personally prefer Hunter even though the closest I've gotten to him is the cast recording of Little Shop of Horrors. I had no desire to see Thoroughly Modern Millie or Little Women when they were both on Broadway. The Drowsy Chaperone is a very big maybe.

VonTussleGirl, I love you! You laid it out so nicely. Yes, Hunter & Sutton are each their own Foster. Both amazingly talented. Hunter just got the short end of the stick the year of Urinetown/Millie. Hunter should have WON Best Leading Actor in a Musical at the Tonys along with Sutton's Best Leading Actress win. But instead, Hunter wasn't even nominated (ridiculous). Hunter and Sutton were each the shining stars of that season's two hits. Here's hoping Hunter is given another opportunity to remind those casting directors what they're missing so he can be as in demand as Sutton. I love 'em both like they were my very own bro and sis. And they're so darn cute too!

that's such a cute pic of them!!!!
but yeah i don't think there is any way to compare them....sutton's had more success and is defintitely more "famous" in the theater world, but still....i enjoyed hunter in little shop!

Did Sutton ever mention WHY her professors thought that? Did she have some problem back then that she doesn't now? How can anyone think that; shes a TRIPLE THREAT!
If I were one of her professors, I would've driven off a cliff by now.
