How often do you come to NYC? Since TKAM has an open run at the moment, I'd go see Torch Song and Waverly Gallery if I were you (Waverly is closing end of January and Torch Song is closing end of Feb.)

It's a tough one, for sure. All three shows have excellent qualities, and must-see performances. Personally though, I'd skip Torch Song. I liked it, but it was my least favorite of the bunch. Also, I don't know how much these things matter to you, but a couple other thoughts: (1) I think Torch Song is the most likely of the three to be forgotten come Tony time, as sad as it is to say, and (2) TKAM may have its flaws, but I think it will go down in theatre history as a production people talk about and refer back to frequently, in both positive in negative ways. And because of that, it's one that you shouldn't miss. I'm not sure the same can be said about Waverly Gallery, but I think Elaine May's performance is more of a must-see than Urie's. Plus Urie has a long career ahead of him, likely playing many more wonderful roles in the future. Elaine May is 86, and I'll just leave it at that.

saw the waverly gallery this afternoon was floored highly recommended besides elaine may's heartbreaking and nuanced performance, this is a highly intuitive script with fleshed out characters and emotion

What other plays have you liked? And what are you looking for in these shows?
We can all tell you what we liked and didn’t (I hated Mockingbird, personally). But to tell you what we think you’ll like, it would help to know what else you’ve liked or not.
