Add me to the list of people who enjoyed this show as well. I seem to really fall in love with 'little' shows that never catch on (A CLASS ACT, AMOUR, SUMMER OF '42, etc). Last night's house was decent-sized and very enthusiastic. I noticed several industry people (Telly Leung, Grant Shaud, and Jerry Mitchell, who BTW, leapt to his feet at the final curtain call). Thanks to Jordan's rave, I'm glad I made time to see it.
I was there Wednesday afternoon also! It was very upsetting seeing such an empty house, especially for a show that is so good. It's nice to see something that's not all about being a spectacle, but really about diving into characters. Stunning performances all around. I wish it had more of a chance.
OK...I am now convinced that I need to get a ticket for tomorrow night (and perfect since I am done at work at 7 and will still be in the city). I know I will beat myself up if I don't see it since I love Trey and I think the whole concept seems fascinating.
Thanks for the review, Jordan.
And BigGuy...I LOVE Glass House. Probably my favorite bar in TS. Loved going there after work when the cast of Peter would come in. Such great people! And the staff there is pretty amazing too. And the risotto balls. Anyhow...I digress.
When I read the description, I thought "boy, this sounds dumb." I ended up getting a ticket, just because I like to see everything on Broadway. What a surprise. I really enjoyed this show too.
I loved the performances. The premise did not interest me that much, but I had heard good things about the production so wanted to see it before it closed. There were several times the actors brought tears to my eyes because their performances were so raw and emotional. I grew up in a hick town where having a future meant getting out, and I could relate to a lot of the characters.
I wonder if in fact the show wasn't a little too true to life. In times where just about everyone has to worry about being outsourced or downsized into desperation at any moment, people may dread being reminded of their precarious state at a show.
In any case, the cast and creative team created something special, and I am glad I was able to see it.

I'm just adding myself to the list of people who really liked this show.
Also, I'd agree with the other post suggesting that the whole thing may have been a bit too true to life. I can't think of a popular musical that dealt at length with the mundane details of everyday existence, without any larger-than-life hook (whether in the story or in the form of a big star).
I saw it tonight. And I LOVED it!
