Posted: 6/19/08 at 5:18pmand loved it! I saw it Monday night, and there were no understudies on. I was pleasantly surprised by the animation projections (I had not read about them) and the bad-idea bears. I won the ticket lotto, so I was in the front row, but my view was not obstructed in any way. A more detailed review tomorrow...

Posted: 6/19/08 at 10:06pmGlad you enjoyed the show! I was surprised by the Bad Idea Bears, too, when I saw it. In fact, I was surprised by a lot. Even though I already adore the soundtrack, the live show was somehow a million times funnier than I expected!

I have yet to see it, but love the cast recording.

Posted: 6/20/08 at 12:17amAVE Q is at the top of my list over Les Miz and Phantom former tops. The tour is wonderful especially Rob McClure as Princeton/Rod.

I saw this show a few years ago, and was really surprised by how much I liked it. I really didn't want to like it because it beat "Caroline, or Change" for the Best Musical Tony (I know, I know, no need to verbally attack me for this). But, I was surprised by how much heart and soul there was to it. I like it a lot. I still don't think it should have won Best Musical (:-P) but, I like it a lot!

uhmmm, Avenue Q won over Wicked, Caroline or Change and Boy from Oz at the 2004 Tony Awards. They were all the same season.
