I always seem to hate the most popular characters in musicals. Maybe it's because I'm an angst-free person, but I just don't get all the whiney unrequited love melodrama.

I love Susan Egan, but I hate (or strongly dislike) how she sounds like she's straining to hit notes.
I love Kerry Butler but I hate (or strongly dislike) how nasal she sounds at certain times.

I love the Sweeney Todd movie, but I hate that effeminate rodent-man who plays Antony. He looks downright sinister in places. It's bizarre.
I love Alan Rickman, but I hate the fact that there's one shot in the Sweeney Todd film that looks disturbingly as though he neglected to put on pants. (It's during "Pretty Women.")

I love Sweeney Todd and Tim Burton and Danny Elfman, but I hated the Sweeney Todd movie.

I love Bob Fosse, but hate the fact that I couldn't see any of his original work. I only saw revivals of everything.
I love Sweeney Todd, but hate the movie.
Ditto for Hairspary.
I hate the cast in Chicago, but I love to watch Ann Reinking/Bob Fosse's choreography.

I love Sweeney Todd but I HATE how he uses a special Oxy Clean formula to clean his shirts to make them white even though blood is the worse stain to get rid of like 5 seconds in between clients!
Note, the reason why we still have Oxy Clean is because he never shaved the promoter!
