Ah, no worries, it's not contagious. I have a sinus infection, and my face and neck are swollen up to give my head the look of a giant marshmallow. Let me tell you, this look is HOT.

I hope you feel better soon. Attitude is everything. Keep plugging along and you'll be better in no time. Remember to rest. Enjoy a good book or a favorite movie and snuggle up. :)

I've been drinking lots of orange juice and reading... my selection of the day is "Stiff." It's oddly comforting - I'm reading about cadavers and thinking, "well, at least I'm better off than they are!"

Has anyone else read this?

I loved Stiff! I thought it would be kind of morbid or gruesome, but it wasn't at all. I got her new book, Spook, but I haven't read it yet.

Aww, thanks for the well-wishes, everyone.

I went back to work today, which I think was a mistake. The hot-flash ladies, who control the office thermostat, made sure that the room was chilled to about 50 degrees - I was miserable. I'm so glad to be home, all wrapped up in my bathrobe and drinking orange juice.

CM......I had mono when I was 25 and hadn't kissed anyone. Just rest and try to eat well when you can. Hang in there!

Had mono in December. I assume it was from sharing drinks (which I do all the time) as I hadn't been kissing anyone. The great thing is, I didn't know it. I was so stressed and pushing myself to the limit, all with mono. It was awful. I got a week and a half off to go on a cruise and spent my ENTIRE vacation sleeping. Did not see one island or even the pool on the boat. I found out later that I had mono.

Feel better, sickie.

I'm a big advocate of fresh ginger root tea which aids sinus and respitory issues and boosts the immune system.

Chicken soup contains a natural antibiotic as does honey.

Soup it up! And the first remedy of Tibetan medicine is hot water. So drink it constantly if they have the temperature cold in your office.

I never had mono so I can't help you specifically with that.

Oh CM - feel better! I hope you are resting right now, but wanted to wish you well. I had mono when I was in college. It was miserable beyond miserable. So, I hope you are feeling better soon.

Good thing is, now that you've had mono once, I don't believe you can ever get it again.

Remember - fluids, chicken soup, and rest, rest, rest!
