Although they are aesthetically appealing, it bothers me that KELSEY GRAMMER is stressed to an extreme in nearly every commerical. Even in the new one, he overshadows "Tony Award Winner Douglas Hodge". Is he the only selling point of this show?

Posted: 10/12/10 at 7:42pmI love it. I'd go see any musical that advertises itself as having the bounciest balls.

It didn't make me want to go out and get a ticket. Thank God I saw it early in the run.
Fraser...Lillith and Niles all at the same time on Broadway?
BRING THAT TO THE BANK.

Posted: 10/12/10 at 8:59pmI'm not sure about the Tony Award thing. I'm counting a combined 11 Tony Awards, but maybe I missed some?

I counted 11 too. And doesn't The Producers have 12?

Posted: 10/12/10 at 9:10pmI guess the extra Tonys were awarded when Bernadette got her two Grammys :P.

Posted: 10/12/10 at 9:14pmI got 11 too. 6 for the original production, 2 for the first revival, and 3 for this revival. Bizarre.

Posted: 10/12/10 at 9:32pmMyabe they meant nominations? But, is that even accurate?

Posted: 10/12/10 at 9:42pmAs long as no one does research or knows anything about anything, they'll be fine with what they say. That's what politicians hope for, why can't a revival?

Posted: 10/12/10 at 10:50pmThey're not talking about total Tonys, they're talking about Tonys for the show itself, of which it has won 3: Best Musical 1984 and Best Revival 2005 & 2010. It's poorly worded though. And, of course, Death of a Salesman has also won the top award 3 times and that happened back in 1999.

Posted: 10/12/10 at 11:54pmIt's all hyperbole...the most tonys, the biggest balls and the biggest star..they're just having fun with it. Don't read too much into it.
