Why can't it re-open off-broadway after the tour ends. I mean, if RENT can do it, why can't HAIR? It would probably work better in a smaller venue.
One of my fav HAIR memories was at the Downtown Cabaret Theater in Bridgeport CT (when they still had real productions). This current touring cast in a small theater would be like a religious experience :))
Bring Back HAIR with the new version of Aquarius that is on the Hair the musical website. It has this really cool Bollywood vibe with new lyrics. I wish it was available on iTunes.
Did I say I miss HAIR !?!

I'd love for it to come back, too. There are so many original cast members in the tour, it would be great to see them again!

Yes I saw two shows in New Haven CT (10 min away for me) and 5 times in NYC. We missed the park shows.
It is coming to the Bushnell I. Hartford but I really don't like that venue. The audience has a tendency to be really old people who have season tickets and don't give much energy back.
I might get weak and sneak up after work and snag a single ticket. I have been dying to hear What a Piece of work is man.

Posted: 4/5/11 at 4:48amIt's not a major commercial point, but one reason is that Jim Rado literally cannot let go of this show.

Posted: 4/5/11 at 6:00amThey couldn't sustain an audience once the original cast left for London. WHY would they think it was viable again? (I would think that even the touring cast will have had enough of this show!)

My best bet is that it'll play at the St. James Theatre, just sayin'
The San Diego tour stop of HAIR has also been pushed back from July to October... :)
