I'm putting together a cabaret that features up-and-coming college students in town that are usually away getting BFA musical theatre degrees at Carnegie Mellon or BoCo or something. There's no theme for the music, it's just a bunch of friends getting up and singing songs. I've toyed around with corny stuff like "New Voices," or "Next Generation," stuff like that, but nothing's seem to fit. Any suggestions?
In town where? Where do you live? Give us more info about this specific location...
...what are other common elements about this event?
Are they all from your area, but attend college somewhere else? Are all of them college now, or just some of them?
More info please...
(and I'm not saying I'll throw out any ideas either, but this is too vague right now for me to take a stab at it.)
Great! Wasn't sure how specific I should be.
It's in Seattle. Everyone is between 18 and 22. All are from Seattle. Most go away to college on the east coast to study musical theatre, though some aren't studying theatre at all, and some are just in town performing. One just graduated from school.
It's essentially just to get together, have some fun, sing some songs, show the progress everyone has been making.
Anything else?
