Posted: 1/1/11 at 2:07pmWhy would a Christmas musical extend past the first week or so of January?

Posted: 1/1/11 at 2:16pmI think it could have lasted through Jan. honestly.

Posted: 1/1/11 at 2:32pmWell, it's making tons of money, I'd have thought the producers would extend it for a few extra weeks. The city will be filled with tourists for awhile and these tourists are the audience for this show.

Posted: 1/1/11 at 2:58pmI could see extending through mid-January. But I don't think it would have much appeal after that.

Posted: 1/1/11 at 3:25pmHOW TO SUCCEED probably wants to start loading in right away. Elf is already scheduled to return again with a cast recording this Christmas. It did very well over the holidays and it would probably lose money by extending unless it was only for a couple of weeks. No Christmas show has extended before and they pretty much all close right after New Year's.
